Skillet is a replacement for the default tradeskill and craft UI, and is based on ATSW , by Slarti. This is not a continuation of ATSW, which is still going strong as far as I know, but is rather a brand new mod based in the ideas in ATSW.
Mod authors: please contact me if you would like to make your mod work with Skillet, or you would like me to make Skillet work with you mod. I'm always happy to discuss changing the code so it is easier to integrate with.
Features
Larger the the standard tradeskill window
Built-in queue for creating multiple, different items
User editable list of notes attached to reagents and crafted items.
Automatically buy reagents for queued recipes when visiting a vendor
Recipes can be filtered by name, whether or not you could level when creating the item, and whether or not you have the mats available.
If you can craft a reagent needed by a recipe, then clicking on that reagent will take you to its recipe (same features as Reverse Engineering.
Queued items are saved when you log out and are restored on log in
If the item to be crafted requires a minimum level to use, that level can be displayed along with the recipe (disabled by default)
The shopping list of items needed for all queued recipes for all alts can be displayed at banks, auction houses, or from the command line
Items needed for crafting queued items can be automatically retrieved from your bank (by using the shopping list)
Sorting of recipes (name, difficulty, and level)
Planned (Future) Features
Ability to view queues of alts
Tracking inventory on alternate characters
Custom filtering of recipes (have mats, have mats in bank, min level/max level, etc)
"Craft Until .." where Skillet will continue to make items until you run out of reagents or a certain skill level is met or until the recipe becomes grey/green.
Supported / Tested Mods
Skillet has been tested with the following mods. Other mods that change or update the tradeskill window may not work.
I am using the wowace.com Jira bug tracking system to record all bugs and features for Skillet. You can check there to see if the problem you are seeing or the feature you are interested in has been discussed before.
Jira requires an account to create new issues so if you want to report a problem, but don't want to create an account, please post a message here or email me and I will enter the bug report.
When in doubt, contact me anyway. I'd rather hear about a problem twice than not at all.
In the screenshot, in the recipe list, what does the [x/y] mean? Normally it would mean "Have x, Need y", but is some of those shown in the screen shot it's [0/1] so that can't be the case.

x=able to make with mats you have in your bags
y=total able to make including mats that are purchasable or in the bank
same as atsw in case you have ever used it before
So in the picture, for example
for the barbaric shoulders that are selected, if you had:
bags-12 heavy leather, 1 cured heavy hide, 2 fine thread
bank-4 heavy leather, 1 cured heavy hide, 2 fine thread
then it would show 1/2 because you have the mats in your bags to make 1, but between your bags and bank, you have the mats to make 2 (12+4=16 heavy leather, 8 needed per..1+1=2 cured heavy hide, 1 needed per..2+2=4 fine thread, 2 needed per)
I wish people would stop using those ghetto frames to design there windows. They make the window stick out from the unison look of a UI. Ughh!
But moving on, thanks for making this. Now, another one I can auto update through WAU. /cheer
Sidenote, can you make an option for the tootip to be hideable and an option to maybe move it to the left/right of the recipe. That was one thing that bugged me with ATSW was it would cover the other recipes, but it was was either hide it or cover the recipes.

I'm sorry, but I beg to differ. If you are using multiple addons from wowace, then your UI probably mainly uses the kind of frames this addon is using.. The see-thru kind. I prefer them, and my interface is nearly completely done up that way.. Now if I could just get skins for the character, social, who, lfg, etc frames without using skinner (i.e. by finding addons that improve upon those frames' functionality)....
Would you mind pointing out how it differs from ATSW and what are you trying to achieve that's not achieved by ATSW? (I'm not trying to start a flame way or anything) I'm always curious to try new mods and I'd like to know the mindset of it's creators ^^

Hi, in no way do I speak for the author here, however I can answer at least part of the question
ATSW last I checked had a bug that would prevent the beast training window from opening in certain situations. It also goes into an infinite loop on enchanting with the current patch if you have the old version and the large prismatic to small prismatic recipe..
Aside from those 2 problems that this addon most likely does not have, it is ACE'd, meaning better memory usage simply because it isn't duplicating stuff that ace already has (not that atsw used a noticable amount), and then theres the ability to support more stuff thru the libraries on the wowace svn

Totally correct. There is a great big tooltip that will pop up with the details when you hover the recipe.

6 of 1, 1/2 dozen of another, I'm afraid. Almost all of my UI now uses the same style frames as Skillet. That's why I went with that look. Well, that and I think it looks better :). If there's enough interest I can look into adding an option to make the UI look more like the standard Blizzard frames.

There is already an option to hid the tooltip, but not one to set the placement at the moment.

No worries. The main reason I did this mod was that at the time I started (before the 2.2 patch) it looked like ATSW was not going to get any updates and I was trolling around for a new project. I really like the functionality in ATSW so I used that as the basis for Skillet. A lot of the features that you'll find are those that I think are the most important from ATSW (or that others have asked for). I also thought the best way to learn about writing mods was to re-write this as an ACE mod.
At the moment, Skillet probably has less features than ATSW but is more fun for me to play with. I guess that the best reason I have for working on it.
Hello, i posted a bug on your wowinterface page, but just in case you see it here instead of there:
Your embeds.xml has Window-1.0 as a library, and wowace uses the name WindowLib, as a result, people who use standalone libs do not get the dependency downloaded with Skillet.
This is a minor problem, as most people who are using standalone can figure out how to download the proper lib by themselves. However, for consistency, you may check it out if you have time.
Do you update here as much as you do at WoW Interface?
Actually, you'll see a lot more updates here than on wowinterface.com. I only update wowinterface.com when I have a stable release. Here you will see every single change I make, about 15 minutes after I check it in.

Thanks, I checked it out and the dependacy is busted. The embeds.xml is correct as that needs to be the actual file name, but the .toc is screwed up. I've checked in a fix for that.
If this had the ability to sort by difficulty level of a recipe then I could switch over from ATSW immediately. :)
Alas, not yet. I am planning on making searching and sorting the focus of the next release. Should be about a week or so before I get everything nailed down and working.

I may or may not have some questions or comments depending on what gets busted when I log in :D
Maybe it's tradeskillinfo ?
