Well the only problem I see with the most current version for me at least is that that the buff bars after locking are still visible on my screen. The weapon buff and debuffs disappear as they should until slots are used but buffs dont. Anyone have any ideas on what maybe causing this it would be great.

ye i know, this is a bit of a problem with dreamlayout i intergraded in by default but sometimes i got it sometimes i didnt and even if i got it when i gained/lost 1st buff everything went back to normal so i didnt bother really ;> not like its game breaking issues because you are unlucking buffs every 2 min right? :)
I don't know if it's working as intended, but when I enable the "hide" on some (or all) the categories, when I next get back into the game (same character ot another) I've got the buff windows back, and when I look at /buffalo config, the hide option is still ticked.
If I untick/tick again, the disappear (until next I come in play).
Is there some way to have the "hide" status stay after disconnecting?
very nice addon, but it would be nice to be able to change the fade interval of flashing buffs/debuffs. if im in a fight i dont have time to spend 1-2 seconds on my debuffs to wait for them to show up^^
the second thing are the weapon buffs, with teh original ui its possible to remove the weapon buffs with a rightclick on them.
that would be very handy because the new dualwield option for shamans change some things with buffing weapons.
if i buff the weapons(no buffs up) it will first enchant my mainhand, then on second click my offhand. now when both weapons are enchanted and i click the buff button again it will rebuff the one with less duration.
now the problem comes when i want to change those buffs.
im able to replace the first buff over the char screen, but now there are 2 different buffs on the weapons and whenever i wanna use one of the weapon buffbuttons it renews the buff thats already on the weapon and im not able to change the second weaponbuff.
i hope this is understandable, its kind of hard to decribe in english:/
I'm using almost only ACE2 mods and therefore I was surprised to find out that WoW used around 35-37 MB RAM for the addons, almost as much as my pre-ACE2 days. So I started unticking the addons one by one and when Buffalo didn't load (but all the other ones did) WoW used 22-23 MB RAM. I've tested this several times, I've removed Buffalo and installed it again (always the latest version) and yet everytime the RAM WoW uses goes up with +10 MB. Is Bufalo that RAM hungry or could it be a conflict with some other addon? Nevertheless, here is a link to all my addons.

Are you sure? I've never been able to remove a weapon buff with a right-click.
As for the problem you're having with weapon buffs, it sounds like something Blizzard needs to fix with regards to letting you choose which weapon the buff casts on. I couldn't say for sure though... I'm resto, so no dual-wielding here. :P

hope after load you do forced garbage collection 1st and then check about how much memory addons are using?
Since I'm a addon nob (at least when it comes to the techincal part of them) I didn't know you could do a forced garbage collection. I did and it went from 38 MB to 23 MB. Superb! Thank you for the tip and I'm sorry if I tryed to "blame" Buffalo. ;) Seems like I have to do a forced garbage collection everytime I log on though. Not a big deal really but any way I could work around that?

well before 2.0 it was automaticaly done, now i think its done only when you force it (wouldnt be a big problem to write a mod for it i think), anyway why is forcing GC needed, lets say you have memory for addons set to 40MB, and addons on load will take 41MB, after 40MB will be reached it will do garbage collection and when you will log in you will see REAL ADDON MEMORY + 1MB garbage, next time lets say you dump 1 addon and that will just get you under 40MB at load so it wont do garbage collection and you will see REAL ADDON MEMORY + X MB of garbage so you will mistakenly think that addons on load take more memory when you have less of them turned on

It's new in 2.0, weapon buffs can be removed by right-clicking them. Buffalo doesn't allow this functionality at the moment, but I would assume (hopefully not incorrectly) that it would be easy enough to implement.

Interesting... I guess I just hadn't tried to remove them, since it's never worked before. :P
Either way it still sounds like Blizzard needs to make shaman weapon buffs *not* auto-select a weapon when dual-wielding... seems like it'd be a pain to have to remove them in order to change them...

I'm new to Buffalo, used to use Satrina's BuffBar before the patch. Couple of questions/feature requests.
1) Is there a way to change the alpha/transparency of the gray buff background? Even perhaps a manual lua edit? I tried the ghost color alpha value but that didn't seem to work. As a side effect, if I were able to set the background transparent it would also serve as a work around to the issue Silent51 pointed out with the backgrounds showing after a config. It's not game breaking but it looks very weird to first time users since we tend to be doing config and locking on the first shot.
2) Would be nice to be able to control the position of the timer text. I'd personally like to see right side, left side, and/or over icon.
3) Minor thing, but when using white timer text, the colon in (mm:ss) is still yellow.
4) Maybe I missed a combination of options, but is it possible to setup a vertical buff orientation that fills the entire first column, then only if needed overflows to a 2nd column? Something like:

I don't know, the gray background is SoLoRs work.

This will be possible in the next (major) version. And to answer your next question: When it's done. *dodges the tomatoes*

Hm, never noticed it before, but you are right. Again, the next version of Buffalo will change a lot to this kind of things.

Try unticking "Grow Horizontal First" and "Grow Upwards". Then set the number of rows to 12. If you don't find these options, blame me. I haven't played WoW in ages (@#!$% studies), let alone tweaked my UI, so I may have forgotten the options I put in the dropdown. *blush*

well i didnt do any options you can pretty easy turn it off tho or change in lua, why i didnt make options hm, i think most people using buffalo also using bartender3 and are very happy they have buff buttons in same style as bar buttons :) <3 matching ui ;> if you wanna play with settings check Buffalo:CreateDLayout() function at the end, for disabling comment (-- in front) line 136 & 285, but like i said most people are happy and there was not even 1 negative comment until now so i just left it without option to turn it off :)
and bug that you mentioned (ghost frames staying after locking) was fixed day or two ago, so update if you didnt!

I sure hope I didn't come off as a negative comment. That wasn't my intent at all. I'm really liking Buffalo and you guys have done great work! I just hate change and I want my UI as close to what I'm used to seeing as I can get post-patch :)
I had the 19870 version that I downloaded last night. I blew away my saved variables and tried the new 21247 version. Indeed it is fixed thanks!
I found the CreateDLayout function you mentioned and edited line 704 to have frame:SetBackdropColor(0,0,0,0). That did the trick for making the background transparent, in case anyone else wants to do that. Thanks for the pointer on where to find the setting.

Don't thank me, the credits go to SoLor for making Buffalo work with 2.0 :-)

Thanks again guys!
I just wanted to know if it would be possible to sort the (de)buffs either by name or duration. More then less what this addon does: http://wow.curse-gaming.com/de/files/details/1594/buffsort/
Or is this already possible, and I just missed it?
PS: Fantastic mod - keep up the work! :)
