Hi JJ,
A month or so ago I wrote regarding macro's sometimes hung in the modified state after an alt-tab. I use the following macro:
#showtooltip
/use [nomodifier]Naaru Ration; [modifier] Conjured Manna Biscuit
What basicly happen most of the time is I alt-tab to some other application running and when I alt-tab back in I see a "?" on my bar (unless I have the Biscuits in my Inventory).
Does anyone have an idea what could be causing this? Could it be related to the #showtooltip line I have added? Now that I think of it I think it's redundant.

I would definitely get rid of the #showtooltip line, since it is not necessary for IB2 (which shows tooltips automatically). It may even fix your problem. :)

I'm having some difficulties binding keys to mouse4, mouse5 and mouse4/5 with modifier. Is there a way to do it? If yes, how?
Probably not available yet, but I am looking at a solution to this to use soon.
I've got to say, muchos kudos for coding this awesome addon : ) It's nice to have an action bar mod that's truly customizable to the degree that Infinibar is : )
That being said, I'm noticing that there's no option to have the bar just hidden; it's either disabled or it's enabled and on the screen. Am I missing a checkbox somewhere in the bar configuration?

Would it be possible to add an option for Right-Click self-cast so that there is an implicit "/stopcast" called first?
So, if I am in the middle of casting a spell and right-click, it stops casting and casts the new right-click spell... this would help my priest greatly and prevent me from having to write a whole bunch of macros.

If you want a bar to be hidden, simply set its alpha to zero in the "State hiding/fading" section.
JJ, is there any way you could make DogTag optional? Now that I've finally made the switch from big blubbery PitBull to lean clean oUF, InfiniBar is the only thing in my UI using DogTag. This wouldn't be an issue, except that DogTag is simply enormous, occupying more memory (both static and increasing) than all but a few large addons, and is my #3 CPU user. DogTag-Unit is the #2 CPU user, although it uses slightly less memory. :(

I'd like to second this. Dogtags are having some heavy performance problems and I'm affected by this constantly. I however have come to love the green border on buffs I currently have on, I can live without it, but to keep it and get rid of Dogtags for InfiniBar would increase my overall performance I think.
Then I only need to get a worthy replacement for Pitbull, only problem is I don't know jack about .lua editing.

Well, if you're not comfortable editing Lua, you should probably steer clear of oUF, although it's fairly simple and there are a half dozen or so premade layouts floating around on here and wowinterface. ag_UnitFrames is a bit more "newb friendly" (no offense) although I don't think it has much if any in-game layout configuration either. Not really sure what else is available. X-Perl, maybe, although its monstrously ugly.
I'd beg for the abolishment of Rock, too, as IB is now the only addon I have that uses it, but I'm afraid that's a lost cause.

None taken :)
I've looked at both ag_UnitFrames and X-perl (ugly as hell yeah) and none of them are customizible enough for my taste (haven't looked at the ace3 version of aguf). (JJ, care to make a new Unitframes addon, now that ButtonFacade is nearing completion?) :D
Joke aside I think I might have to dedicate an obscene ammount of hours to go through oUF and see if I can make it work to my liking.
Too bad about Pitbull being in such bad shape though, love the features, but not at the price of significant performance issues. Perl Classic might also be a possibility, just not sure I can live with the look.
@ Codepoet: I'll give it a go when I come home from work tonight, if it works you're my hero!

O.O
I have little enough time as it is. :p

If someone comes up with a more efficient tagging system that has all of the features of DogTag (including the ability to define my own tags), I'll switch to it. If it's Ace3 or framework agnostic, I might even be convinced to switch all of IB2 to Ace3. However, some sort of tagging system will always be used by IB2.
I have a number of projects I'm working on now, so unfortunately, I can't implement my own system at this time.
Sigh. You're lucky I love InfiniBar enough to stick with it, although now it and its attendant libraries are using more memory and CPU than all of my other addons combined (with the exception of my 8mb TooltipExchange database). :P
Have you looked at Roartindon's TagCompiler-1.0? Currently it's Ace2, but it's very lightweight, and all but requires you to define your own tags. Probably wouldn't take too much to de-framework it.
#show [nomod]Naaru Ration;[mod:shift/ctrl/alt]Conjured Manna Biscuit
/use [nomod]Naaru Ration; [mod]Conjured Manna Biscuit
I'm afraid this macro acted exactly the same. It's probably a local error then. Now I have a workaround in mind, but it didn't really work when I tried it last night. What I would like to do is to make my [modifier] macros ignore my "alt" smashing and only react on ctrl/shift key-presses. I thought this macro would do the trick, but when I push alt it just shows a red question mark, no matter if the item is present or not. Shift/Ctrl shows the correct item. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Tested and working.
Granted I tested with healing and rage pots, but same diff...

A thing I've been working on lately is adding some common tasks as macros using IB2. I don't mind having a lot of addons, but some addons do a lot more than you really need.
In example, removing focus without removing your target.
Sure you can make a macro with
/clearfocus
and add that to your actionbar, but it's a waste of space, for me at least.
What I've done is make a group of buttons that I place off screen and bind them in a logical way.
With the default Blizz bindings I have "F" bound to set focus, and "T" to target my focus.
What I missed was an easy way to bind /clearfocus, /cleartarget (i use sticky targetting) and setting focus based on mouseover.
So now I have:
/clearfocus bound to Ctrl+F
/cleartarget bound to Ctrl+T
/focus [target=mouseover] bound to Shift+F
I find the mouseover focus very handy if you need to swap a focus target for CC (morph, shackle) but still focus dps on your target.
Just thought I'd share this and perhaps shed some light on the possibilities you have with IB2 before you start looking for an addon.
I've been using IB for keybinds since the 1.0 days. ;)
Currently I use it to bind my druid's forms; and my shaman's Bloodlust, Elemental totems, Mana Tide, and Totemic Call. I still use SpellBinder to bind stuff that I want to be the same on all characters (like binding ` to a "mount" macro that each character has) but IB comes in handy for binding character-specific things that aren't worth managing ALL of my keybinds on a character-specific level to have. It's also handy to set up encounter-specific bars for easily broadcasting preset information to the raid, like Netherspite beam rotations, Magtheridon cube clickers, or nonspecific things like group positions and tank/CC assignments.
I've gone through the 20 pages, and I seem to be missing something. How do you bind Mouse Key 4 or Mouse Key 5 to a button? Everything else seems to work, I just can't seem to get that one thing to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You didn't miss a thing. It's one of those things I need to get around to fixing. Currently it is a limitation in LibRockConfig.
