Love the new Witchhunt. :D Was lost for a few days before I went and updated. ;)
you're bad and probably wouldn't make use of it anyway.
On another note, is it possible to add a reverse spell filter, as in a list of spells that you ONLY want to see instead of spells that you don't want to see?

-Maybe asking too much or outside the scope of the mod, but a timer bar for when important cooldown buffs are gained and how long until they expire. Mainly just for things like Ice Block, Divine Shield, Cloak of Shadows, Blessing of Protection, etc. Other things like Innervate and Death Wish don't really matter since you can just estimate those things but the immunity buffs are very important to know durations on and NECB doesn't work this patch with it, and no mod that I know of took its place yet.
Use Witchhunt for alerts, and for enemy cast/buff/cooldown bars, try Antagonist (although you will need to go through the spell lists and filter out all unwanted stuff which is a lot.
Is there any way we can get slash commands back? Id like to set up a macro so people can just click the macro and set it up for output type and only for target. As it is now, I have to include an exstensive readme on how to set things up. With slash commands, itll let me simplify it.
Either that or let it save globally and not per character.
Thanks.
You didn't try the profiles section yet in the config screen did you?
*blinks* That's impossible? It says right in the combat log if you're the target or not... I guess I don't really understand the code as much as I thought.

When someone begins to cast a fireball, you can't see if its directed at you.
When the fireball hits you, ofcourse you can, but it's a tad late then.
Unless I am totally missing something obvious ofcourse.
I like the direction WitchHunt is moving with the spell filtering, but I miss the old format. it was so much easier to read instead of the full sentences.
I don't remember the old format exactly (probably because it was just so easy to understand at a glance) but compare these:
"+ Somebody: Some Buff +"
"- Somebody: Some Buff -"
vs
"Somebody Gains Some Buff"
"Some Buff fades from Somebody"
it's harder to read because the location of the unit and the spell swap sides. it requires reading, rather than just a glance
are there any plans to give customization to the format or maybe just a toggle option to reformat it to the bare facts?
Ah yes, I was missing the obvious there, sorry. -.-
For buff gains in particular, I'm noticing they're being duplicated. Both purple to show it was cast, and blue, to show it was gained. (And then later, cyan to show it was lost, or red to show it was dispelled.) Out of all those, I find the purple unnecessary because it occurs exactly the same time as the dark blue and just spams up my screen. But if I filter the spell, it's completely filtered. And I don't want to filter the entire purple category, as some spells (like Stealth) only get the purple version.
I don't exactly know what the best solution is, but for spells that are immediately followed by a buff, could we just show the buff instead? Or something? What comes to mind is a category-per-spell filtering, but that'd be so complicated and annoying to have to set that for every spell... But if that's what it takes...
not working at all for me, and i loved it so much :(
seems cant load. i say better, loaded seems loaded reading the loaded addons , but no /wh working, and not listed in the interface menu options under addons tab.

Just a idea ... if someone starts casting a spell - WitchHunt reads this from the combat log right ? Can WitchHunt also read the name of the player who casts from the log ? If so can WitchHunt with the name of caster and spell doing a check and determine the target of the casting player ?

You can't. Someone could be clickcasting too and thus their target might not be the real target of the spell. It's just not going to happen.
Would it be possible to have all the WitchHunt options in the ace3 config dialog (/ace3) show up as WitchHunt with the different sub options for it (colors, filters, etc) being displayed under the 1 category? For an example check out GatherMate, ItemPriceTooltip, or Omen, I'm sure there are others but a quick skim of my options menu showed those.

I have no intention to do that at the moment. type: /wh for now.
/ace3 is there for developer handyness mainly. It's only there in the standalone installation of Ace3 which gets installed due to WAU grrr. Don't expect support for it.
Could you append newfound spells (in learning mode) at the bottom of the filter list rather than sorting them in by ID?
After a while it is a pain to scroll through hundreds of suppressions looking for unticked spells you want to get be ignored :/.

Go into the message format menu, and read the help text at the top.
