:D don't mean to infer, but more to the effect of using the modified one by you.
as for the differences between CT2 & HG, i aggree. and it's because hourglass is simpler that i use it over CT2.
CT2 & Pitbull kinda fall under the same problem of being Far to customizeable for my tastes.
I'll setup a simple config mode and an advanced config mode in the new release, if you think that might change your mind. Or would that make it even more along the lines of "Far to customizeable"? I'm not sure.
It is showing a 30 second cooldown for my 2-minutes trinkets (the cooldown I got when first equipping them). How do I fix that?
Does it show the 30-second cooldown even when you actually use the trinket, or only when you equip it?
a possible way to fix it would be to change the minimum time to 30 seconds or more.
It shows that when I use it and should have 2 minutes cooldown. (Trinket goes on 2m cooldown, CDT2 makes a bar for 30s.)
Is there a way to edit this inside the saved variables or something? I looked but can't see anything that hints at saved durations. There need to be 2 timers for trinkets, the 30s upon equipping them and the actual cooldown when used.
That's why I was asking. I have some 3m (i think) trinkets and they work fine, I get the 30s cooldown when I equip and then the correct cooldown when I use..
Make a backup of Interface and WTF and delete both. Then use WAU to install CDT2 (only, dont use standalonelibs) and see if the problem comes up again..
If not, then you either have a conflicting addon, or a conflicting savedvariables, and (unfortunately) it's up to you to figure out which.
If it does come back, let me know, and I'll be happy to investigate further.
Type /cdt in the chat window, and tell me if you see anything about profiles there.
nope, still nothing :(
This message is for jerry247 ONLY, please disregard if you are not him, although you may read it if you want....
humm.. there has to be something that either u are missing that im not, or that im missing that you arent..
If you are willing to, please follow the below instructions (If you aren't willing, just let me know):
-Disable System Restore by right clicking My Computer, and selecting properties. Then click System restore. Then check "Turn off System Restore on All drives, select OK, and click Yes
-Reboot
-Backup Interface and WTF to somewhere outside the Program Files and World of Warcraft Directories (I use C:\Backup)
-Delete Interface and WTF
-Open WAU and set it up to NOT use Standalone libs (in the preferences, make sure to check WITH externals, and uncheck "Skip Version Check")
-Download/Install _only_ CooldownTimers2
-Open up WoW, and check the minimap button for the profiles. If it is not there, let me know because something is definitely messed up. It if is there, however, continue below.
-Exit the game completely, and install fubar (but dont install any of the extra plugins that are separate from the main distro)
-Go back into the game and check the fubar menu to see if it is there. If not, tell fubar to ungrab the minimap button, and check the minimap menu again. If it still isnt there then I am completely stumped, and the only thing I can think of that might fix it is to completely uninstall the game, delete the wow directory and then reinstall it and start fresh, but then again, even that might not fix it, who knows? Let me know what your results are.
Reinstalling CDT2 fixed the cooldowns for the 2 minutes trinkets from the looks of it. Don't see anything about profiles, though, pulled it from SVN this morning. :P

Did you remove the interface and wtf folders before reinstalling, or did you just remove cdt2 and reinstall?
I use standalonelibs as in the past I've had problems with some addons - using standalonelibs seem to solve that. Is it going to break my addons if I go from standalonelibs to non-standalone? Not sure which is preferable anymore, but I will try going back to non-standalone.
The message was directed at jerry247.. Please disregard that message if you are not him.
I use standalone libs myself, but for the sake of debugging, I have asked him to not use it (after removing all addons and settings).. Once we get this figured out, then I will have him go back.
Again, if you are not jerry247, please disregard that message. I will edit the original message as well.
Would you consider implementing a way of showing spell school cooldowns after being interrupted by CS, Kick, Pummel, etc.? For example, if I am casting a Lesser Healing Wave and a warrior Pummels me, cooldown bars for all nature spells I have enabled are shown. It would be much more useful if it could detect if multiple spells of the same school have the identical cooldown and just show one cooldown bar (in this case "Nature Spells") instead of multiple.
Thanks for your work on this addon and any help you may be able to provide.

You can create a group with the spells in any given school and it will show 1 bar for that whole group instead of 1 bar per spell. I will probably go ahead and put more groups in the default install, but for right now, it needs to be done manually.
found a problem with trinkets - when I equip trinket already on cd it shows 30s cd not real one for trinket
Can you tell me how to reproduce it?
I tried using one while it was equipped and it brought up the timer with the correct cooldown. So I unequipped it, and put a different trinket on. Waited for the new trinket's equip cooldown to finish, and then swapped back, and the timer stayed the same.

Are you trying it with 2 minutes trinkets or longer cooldown? My Medallion of the Horde (lvl70 version, 2m CD) keeps bugging but my alt's Insignia of the Horde (lvl60 version, 5mCD)works fine.
It worked right after I deleted all saved variable files and re-created all settings. It created a bar, only a quarter of which was filled and showed 30 seconds when I equipped and 2 mins when I used. Then I logged out, logged back in without trinkets equipped. Equipped a trinket and it showed a full bar for 30 seconds. Activated the trinket and it was showing the 30s cooldown instead of the 2m one.
For issues with trinket cooldowns being incorrect, see the first post for the fix, I just uploaded a fixed core.lua there. I tested it with my dodge trinket and it seems to work. If it causes any unexpected side effects or doesnt work, please let me know. Thanks

that and i think that the 2 serve 2 destinctly different populations.
CT2 is more for ppl that want to control everything, where as hourglass is for those that want something simple out of the box with a few options.

Edit: Turns out that my dodge trinket is having the same issue, but others don't. I'll look as soon as I get a chance.
