You can use DrDamage to automatically get your current values for hit/crit/dmg. (ItemValue -> Sets -> New -> DrDamage -> "Fireball" and then set the rank)
i realy want this addon to be working and i am trying for hours. reinstalled wow, tried it in english language instead in german. installed it on a second computer. but i cant get this addon to work :( i always get this error:
i also installed the lib as standalone. doesnt change anything...
and sometimes i get this one:
can somebody please help me...i dont know what else i could try ;(
@Tailon
I think this is caused by missing exterals, double check if you have DewDropLib and FuBarPlugin-2.0 installed since I can't set the missing svn externals for some strange reason.
@Thexod
I installed the 2 libs but there must still be missing something. Everytime my mouse slides over an item i get the 'JewelByEnchantId' Error from above. Here is a Screens of my Addons. Maybe i am still missing a lib :/
I deleted Addons/WTF Directory. Startet WoW again and downloaded just this 3 Plugins. The Error still exists :/ If i turn on showing mit lua errors i still get it. But i can list every Jewel known with the 'Tools' option. But no Item Value Stats if i look at some Armors/Weapons... :(
both prints are working (if the grey 'timeout table : ... right beside the item name or enchant id is correct). but i still dont get any pve rating from my items. the ratings come automaticly? i dont have to put any formular into the addon to get those? i also asked a friend of mine to download this 3 files. and he got the same problem :( there must be something i still miss...
ItemValue_DrDamage doesn't work anymore lately, it gives me the error:

This is the error I get after creating a DrDamage_Melee set...
I don't know if this is the appropriate place to ask, but if not could someone point me in the right direction? This mod looks fantastic, and I have set up baseline statsets for my Warlock that I'm very happy with. There are two things I'm struggling with a bit however.
Firstly, my wife wants me to set it up for her Rogue and Druid, and while I used to play a Rogue, I'm struggling to get my head around the math this time around. Is there anywhere I can get help with the numbers? (Can anyone here help?)
Secondly, I'm not using DrDamage sets (yet). I remember back in my rogue days I used to use my own spreadsheet based off of Shadowpanthers layout, where I would input the current stats of my rogue based on his actual gear and hence get more accurate numbers for him. If I've understood it correctly, this is the intention of the DrDamage sets too. I'm struggling to remember how these things work, but I'm sure I could be getting more out of this mod. Again, is there anywhere I can get help with this?
Any chance we can get ItemValue_DrDamage working for Hunters? It gives strength a value of .28 when I input Auto Shot and other ranged attacks into a DrDamage_Melee set.
How hard would it be to allow for custom plugins for ItemValue that simply takes an item link and a string identifier and return a number.
I have a similar addon that I am working on again after a long hiatus. The approach I have taken gets around problems with nonlinear (crit) and capping ratings (hit) by calculating the stats if you were to replace the item you are currently wearing with the item in question. This kind of holistic approach gives you good values even if, say, the item has +20 hit and you are +10 from the cap. It still takes into account the +10 and the other +10 are valued at 0.
My current addon is not nearly as far along as yours (and is mainly set up for feral druids) and I think it would benefit the community better to redesign my addon to work with an existing general addon like this.
I thought about such highly accurate plugins for a while, the plugin has to get the stat difference (eg. -0.1% Crit, +0.27% Hit, -2 AP, maybe the ItemId, EnchantId, JewelIds, too for not-parsed procs and such).
I think the best would be to check for a new function which takes those stat differences (which would be calculated by ItemValue, Rating -> Percent, Base Stats resolved, etc) and returns the value.
I'll make some changes in the next few days to include this calculation method and some other improvements (DrD plugin).
I'd be happy to chat with you more on it. Currently, my addon takes a table of difference values which can have positive and negative values. Then I run that through another function that approximates the final stats that equates to (ap, dps, crit, armor, etc.). Then I take the new stats and run the simulation and compare that to the base value.
I think that, without too much work, the current setup could be made the default plugin and serve as a base for more complex theory crafting.
As an aside, I have been thinking that it might be useful to have a library dedicated to taking a stat difference table and producing a resultant stat table based on class, spec, talents, stance, buffs..... I haven't really bothered since I am lazy and I mainly wanted to focus on my main class (druid) but it seems like it might be a handy thing to have around.
Also, it looks like you might be missing CR_WEAPON_FERAL, MELEEDMG, BASE_ARMOR and ARMOR_BONUS.
I've been going nuts trying to get the AEP DAEP, and MAEP formulas from ShadowPanther converted into ItemValues. I wanted something that could compute the numbers and output them exactly as an established source, so I could compare gear on the fly without having to reference the chart.
However, several values in the charts at SP do not have multipliers, or are multipliers that are hard to arrive at, such as the Defense Rating being rated as (1 Agi = 66.67 DefR).
If someone could suggest an alternate series of values for Rogues, I'd be incredibly happy.
Also, as was suggested earlier, adding values for sockets as representative of potential would be desireable, even if it was just a flat value.

Thx for your help!
Everything working here, could you try without other Addons and with cleaned SavedVariables?
