Mendeleev does a lot that isn't needed (at least for me), but it also doesn't show who drops an item, nor is it updated for the expansion (r234 isn't from what I saw).
I'm looking for an addon that simply shows who drops an item you mouse over or click a link for. Engravings did a great job but isn't updated and it seems Tek is busy playing or something (the nerve of some people, sheesh).
I've had many conflicts with AtlasLoot, including not being able to use my Glyph page.
I'll look at it again, but another I've found is LootDB, which seems to be updated a bit, going to work with it and see

Sounds like a problem with one of your other addons, since lots of people do use AtlasLoot without issues.
I'll have to give Meneleev another try. I've tried it twice in the past year or two and stopped using it both times for various reasons (not being easily able to make it show just what I want in the tooltips, not having enough relevant data on various items, etc.).
I really liked Whats and WhoDrop because they let you look things up instead of just passively adding data to tooltips. I really miss having an in-game list of item links for rep vendors and such - does anyone know of an updated addon that provides this functionality?
HunterZ, AtlasLoot has data on the faction rewards. Also PT3.1 provides some of that data (wasn't updated for 3.x, yet I think). I'm currently rewriting my ItemDB so it will also feature a PT3.1 browser (I already like it ^^), but it will take some time until release since I'm still likely to change some stuff.
Very basic additions to the tooltip, or the option to enable and disable what is shown.
Item drop info, who and what instance (heroic, normal, etc)
If it's from a tier piece, which (balance, resto, feral)
If it's pvp or token, the cost in arena points or honor points or tokens and which token.
I think there are more than enough addons that add the ilevel and so much other stuff that it just needs to be as simplistic as it can be. And if people want those options, or you think they need to be there, have the ability to turn them on/off.

ok, that's all stuff Mendeleev can handle in theorie ^^
- item drops from instance bosses will be up2date as soon as PT3.1 provides the data (and since its at least 2 more hours untill servers are up again I might find time to start adding that today)
- tier sets are shown though only with class but it's easy to add spec to as they are already seperated
- currency tokens is something I added to PT3.1 lately and I was going to have that data added to Mendeleev, too. Unfortunatly I havent found a wowhead listing for honor/arena points, yet. The currency page doesn't list these items, yet.
And with Mendeleev you can toggle what to show, so stay tuned and be happy, soon(tm).
