How do you disable the KCI item tooltip? The current position of it means it blocks a huge chunk of my inventory window to where if I'm browsing through it I have to move my cursor off the window, then back on to it. Love the addon, but every time I try it that just kills me.
[2008/05/14 11:03:02-814-x44]: KC_Items-1.0.38138\KC_Items.lua:234: attempt to index local 'link' (a nil value)
same here. bugsack getting spammed with this error. i'm not sure if it corrupts the scan or not though. my prices seem fine to me so far despite the error.
KC_items really lags at the moments upon hovering over an item.
That's another tooltip-info mod you have doing that, not KC_Items.
Have tested many (many) tooltip info mods extensively here; many of them shoot up CPU usage a great deal when hovering over an item. Not KC_Items, though.

Adding an item to the AH also works pretty dodgy ATM.
The "KC_Fence" module included with the last revision of KC_Items doesn't work 100%. It never remembers your last auction price for an identical item (among other problems). For a reliable alternative, use instead the standalone Fence mod. Same functionality as the one included with KC_Items, but it has no issues with the AH & works 100%. It also works fine with the rest of KC_Items.
Delete the \Program Files\World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns\KC_Items\modules\KC_Fence\ folder so the two Fence's don't overlap.

Anyway, any chance to add an option to overwrite the estimated AH price?
Overwrite? Can change the price estimates of Fence's AutoFill module by just reentering what you want. Or you can turn off the module by typing /fence and going from there.
The main part of KC_Items (its recent & historic min bid/buyout median pricing) works just fine in WoW 2.4.2. The the above noted attempt to index local 'link' (a nil value) errors still occur during an AH scan, though, after a WoW patch. They happen before the client item cache is refilled, which takes a few days after a patch. It doesn't affect the reliability of the prices, though.

Acutally, this seems to happen if you haven't scanned the AH for a while, then run a new scan. Deleting your KCI saved variables fixes the problem.
Is there any way to dissable that "confirmation" popup that keeps giving me a warning about the buyout price?
Its the KC_Fence BidWatch module(Fence_BidWatch.lua). That's the only thing that module does, so it can easily be backed up/deleted from \Interface\AddOns\KC_Items\modules\KC_Fence\ if you don't like the popup.
Can also disable it via Waterfall or the command line (/kci).

Okay, thanks.
Missed a few real bargains cos of the extra click :/
I hope to, thou im nwe to it, replaced auctioneer for me cos it was using so insaneamount of memory, and KC gives me all i need (AH prices) for a lot less memory, and dosen't interfere wuith igor mass auction :p
Has anything become of the data corruption or tooltip lag issues?
I think I am experiencing a tooltip fps lag issue. Deleting the saved variables file and reinstating the back up file removes the lag, so the data corruption issues may be related.
Here are the details:
Everything seems fine. No tooltip lag. I scan the AH. After it completes, I mouse over some items in my bags to see if prices are updated. When mousing over certain items (It does not appear to be random. It seems to be item specific), the game freezes for a good 10+ seconds until the tooltip appears. I can mouse out, mouse over the same item and the issue happens again. I can revert to the last saved variables file and the issue no longer happens. Because of this, I assume the data for that item was corrupted, saved and is causing a tooltip display issue?

Maybe post a few itemnames so we can test?
If it seems itemspecific that info becomes rather important.
By item specific, I didn't mean it always happens to the same items any time the issue surfaces. I meant once the issue surfaces, you can logically assume something happened to that item's saved data this time, because you can mouse in and out over the affected item and experience the client temporarily freezing.
I can delete the saved variables file, rename the backup so it gets used and everything's ok. I do a scan once maybe twice a week, and a week or two later after a scan, the issue happens to a different item(s).

Do you use any other addons that miify/add information to the tooltip and if so what addon(s)?
I have cowtip + ratingbuster + sellfish + altoholic (and prolly a few miore i dun think of right now) and i scann 2-5 times a day and never had any forms of lags.
My emediate guess would be some sort of conflict about what info to ass where.
I have disabled all addons except KC Items and Lib: Ace2 (which in turn enables the following libraries due to dependencies, I assume: Abacus-2.0, Abacus-3.0, Dewdrop-2.0, Tablet-2.0). The tooltip client fps drop / client freeze still occurs.
I ran a scan today and luckily it happened to Primal Mana this time. Using wowhead's "item link" numbers to identify the corresponding line in the KC_Items.lua saved variables file, I deleted the line under the "KC_ItemsDB, namespaces, AuctionSpy" section and saved the file. I started the client, moused over the Primal Mana and the issue was gone as was the auction pricing data. This is the line I deleted:
Hey, at least I didn't tear down the server :P I'm known to have that effect (did it on cvs at school once)
I am thinking on that link error though.

A few of my items got corrupted (price was some huge amount of gold)

I'm guessing that is saved auction pricing data and some value or character there is invalid.
