I'm not sure at all why that might be happening - is anyone else experiencing this?
Can you confirm that you have the latest commit, that in ../Interface/AddOns/Scorchio/libs you have EnniBar-2.0/*
Are you running something like BugSack which may be capturing any error messages without you seeing them?
no, i dont have any addons installed to not see error-messages,
i only switched off "showing me the lua-error-messages" (in the options menue of wow).
in the scorchio-folders is a folder called "enniBar-2.0", filled with a ennibar-2.0.lua .
but maybe this sticks together with the not working ace-updater,
both stopped correctly working yesterday..
I'm also facing problems with the Scorchio! which was updated yesterday.
I receive the following error from WoW:
Date: 2008-07-19 15:12:22
Error occured in: Global
Message: ...erface\AddOns\DewdropLib\Dewdrop-2.0\Dewdrop-2.0.lua line 732:
AceDB-2.0: Cannot call "ToggleActive" before "RegisterDB" has been called and before "ADDON_LOADED" has been fired.
It is possible to change the settings of Scorchio! (which was NOT possible before the update in my case, but anyway the bar was on the screen...), but unfortunately nothing else is coming up. No messages, no bar on the screen.
(Hopefully) the Updater issues were fixed yesterday as well...
If you turn the "show me the lua errors" option back on - do you see any errors from Scorchio?
i got one:
[..]\interface\addons\scorchio\locales\localisation-de.lua:2: acelocale(scorchio): Improper translation exists. "local events" is likely misspelled for locale deDE.
i deleted my whole ui - wtf + interface folder, all settings but the makros.
there are still no bars shown and the options for them are greyed out.
i can see some profiles, but i cant activate them - although there shouldnt be any profiles available cause all the saved-variables have been deleted - i dont think they were saved in the makro-files..
I've just made a commit which I hope will fix Orip's issue, which I believe was due to an issue with the localisation files...
I'm at a loss at the moment as to what may be causing Dr.Sterni's issue - I'm not directly calling ToggleActive() at any point in Scorchio!, nor using multiple/character-based profiles. I'll investigate further, but if anyone has an idea about this one, I'd appreciate the pointers! :-)
As always, let me know here if you have any issues with Scorchio! Thanks guys...
Ok so this has started to bug me. I used to have scorchio installed and working like 2 months ago. Since then I've done a clean install of wow, and when I install scorchio I get the following error when I log in:
Interface\Addons\scorchio\Core.lua:500:AceAddon: AceOO-2.0: Library "Sink-1.0" does not exist.
Sink-1.0 is in the scorchio\libs folder, and I can't seem to figure out what is going on. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I miss this addon tremendously.
@Felpe: I can't reproduce this. Can you give me some more information about your set-up? Has this just started happening, or is this the first time you've tried Scorchio!? What version are you using? Do you load the libraries embedded or not? If you disable all your addons apart from Scorchio!, does it still happen?
The more information you can give, the easier it will be to try and track down the problem. Thanks!
Loads and works when i put <Script file="libs\AceOO-2.0\AceOO-2.0.lua"/> before Sink in embeds.xml and when it's the only addon loaded
Doesn't work when I activate all my addons. I have to do /scorchio hide to show it and when I try to set an anchor it gives those previous errors. It's ImprovedErrorFrame that is screwing scorshio over, when i disable it, scorshio works.
Hmmm... That's an interesting one, and it's pretty obvious why it happens, but it's relatively fundamental to the way in which the add-on currently works at the moment.
That said, I'm planning on releasing a new Scorchio! - pretty much a complete rewrite using Ace3 - for the expansion, so that will be the time to make deep changes like that... So hopefully you can live with the extra bars for a little while longer?
