I TOLD YOU THE KILL BAR FUNCTION ISN'T WORKING CORRECTLY YET, DO YOU WANT IT ETCHED ON THE MOON BY A GODAMN LASER
rofl, dont mind me, im just a know-nothing end user. you said "The barids aren't matching up correctly for :KillBar." which i didnt understand, so i thought it was in reply to anohter post above mine, since i dont know what a barid is or what a :killbar is :o
and as you can see from my post, i said "im still confused" which might have indicated why i was asking again.
After tinkering with the addon a bit I managed to hack in a fix for the filters not working. I don't know if the author will mind me posting this, but I thought it might be nice for people who need a temporary fix till next release. I hope he doesn't mind.
I noticed that for some reason there weren't any filter checks in place in the part of the code that handles the combat log events and triggers the bars. I just added simple filter checks to the others that ran on spell events. I'm not sure what the impact is to memory usage and efficiency because it allocates new memory to strings each time a spell event triggers. It's probably not the best solution, but it works. If anyone knows a better way to fix this, please let me know.
if self.spells.casts[spell] then
if self.spells.casts[spell] and not self.db.profile.filter['casts'][spell] then
if self.spells.cooldowns[spell] then
if self.spells.cooldowns[spell] and not self.db.profile.filter['cooldowns'][spell] then
if self.spells.buffs[spell] and not self.db.profile.filter['buffs'][spell] then
Ever since NECB died and the adopting author got caught up with RL I've been struggling to find a replacement. I see antagonist was updated may 15th, I'm just wondering if it's working and if anyone is using it & finding it effective.
