The only item I have (so far) that had a rule change after the update was my "Blessed Medallion of Karabor". I guess it's PeriodicTable problem, because when I look it up in editmode it says "this item is currently not in any PT Set"
Ark is STILL broken. I deleted the addon, deleted all its data from the WTF folder and it didn't load. I went to an alt, disabled every addon except Ark and it won't load. I still get this error...
Interface\AddOns\ArkInventory\Locale\enUS.lua:1:attempt to call global 'AceLibrary' (a nil value)
I'd give my left nut for the minor problems everyone else is having. I can't even use the mod at all!!!
is there a standalone addon, which shows on mouseover a little extrainformation in the tooltip about how many of this item you have in bags, bank etc like arkinv does?

bagnon forever + bagnon tooltip does that. I don't know if they require you to use either Bagnon or Combuctor for your main inventory view but they are part of the downloads for those two mods (both by Tuller).

just tested it but it needs bagnon_forever to work and i will never quit using baggins xD

I've been using Siz's Possessions and WhoHas for this for ages with no problems. Unfortunately WhoHas doesn't work with ArkInventory as a backend or I'd drop Possessions.

tested it and it works fine... but a little questen... is it possible that whohas shows the information in the tooltip in the bags without opening possessions?

your current zip has to be corrupt as ai is working fine, re-download the file again from a different source (to remove potential local cache issues)

you should be able to have ai running, just make sure that all the blizzard frames are not hidden (so ai wont pop up), enable tooltips and just leave it at that.
it's possible this is a result of the client not having any information for that item at the time it was processed by ai - this is why i added the "unknown" category, previously it was assigning them as trash.
i have altered the code to continually recheck items that are in the "unknown" category so they should get assigned correctly as soon as the client receives the data from the server.
I thought it might be a PT problem but if you go to edit mode and click on the items the default assignment is right, for some reason they got reassigned in AI to the Unknown category.
Yuck - yeah, here too. Took about 15 minutes to reset everything, and that was just on one character (granted, my main). Also doesn't do anything for allll the stuff I didn't happen to have in my bags that will now have to be sorted as it comes in. Bummage.
would have fixed it in about 2 seconds as per the changes listed on all download sites (and in versionhistory.txt)
* added - unknown category (for when you dont have item data cached), moving an item to another slot or clicking on menu > actions > reload should update the data from the server
(Yes, that is a joke, though probably not a particularly funny one to an AddOn author who deals with legions of unappreciative twits daily - my own fault for not paying closer attention and just letting WAU do the work. Another thread said that a '/console reloadui' fixes the chat channels lack of stickiness too, I should get in the habit of just reloading as soon as I log in).
At any rate - thanks Arkayenro, wasn't trying to be a pain, I appreciate all you do (ArkInventory is one of my 'mainstays', as in 'Omg, how can I play now without it?!'). :)

First of all, I had the system category for 'quest' assigned to that bar. I also had this rule assigned the bar sort of as a 'catch all'.
These items are now going into default which they didn't do on the previous version. I'll let you know if I catch any other rules broken.
Now a 'Reload' fixed it, but logging on they were in default.

Right. He said to use Bagnon_Forever and Bagnon_Tooltips. You can use them with Baggins.
