Will this transfer my current "settings" into the new version? I spent a lot of time organizing things and don't want to lose it all without warning. LOL (I know I can revert, but this new version sounds exciting).
Since Ark put this warning in, I'm assuming you'll lose your settings. :P

backup your \WTF\Account\<account name>\SavedVariables\ArkInventory.lua file (preferably just copy and paste and then rename the copy to .backup)
failure to backup your savedvariables file will result in you losing all your settings if you go back.
to go back to 1.45 delete the ArkInventory.lua file in the above directory and rename the .backup back to ArkInventory.lua. delete the \Interface\AddOns\ArkInventory directory and then reinstall the mod however you normally install mods.
with the newest version i had a prob
some items i can?t take out of my bank
left and right click doesn?t work, can?t drag and drop emsme out of the bank
some items work normal
anyone else have this prob?
sorry for my bad english
I also have the bank problem, even only when using the default category only, and with no sorting, the shown items have no relation i can find to what you actually are clicking, i.e. i drag some bronze out of my bank, but it shows in my bags that i actually dragged a gem, etc. had to turn off the bank for now... hope this help get to the bottom of it...

it will convert your settings from 1.45 to 2.00 making them useless for 1.45 in the process, hence the backup warning if you want to go back to 1.45
/cheer Like a million times! I totally appreciate the hidden items showing up when you go into edit mode!!!! Makes life easier!!!!
Also, all of the phrases have an exclamation point before each of them. Like:

is todays beta compatible with the saved vars from the previous version? or wipe the settings to be sure it works?
The way the new version is made is you create the rules that an item is categorized by. So all categories have been wiped out. There is no way to make it convertible from one version to the other. So the answer would be no.
Thanks for the Bank fix !
now i have other probs with my bank :-)
when i take an item out of the bank into my bags the icon is still in my bank
but with no tooltip
when i return it to the bank i can?t click the symbol but its out of my bags
so the bank does no refresh on the icons of the items

was related to previous beta versions ;) i just gave it a whirl and rules worked.
I would guess its a localization issue, as all those entries missing are the ones prefixed by a ! which indicates that they still need to be translated.
no it's not normal. you should see the english text (as theres no translations for any of the new text), maybe the exclamation mark is doing something weird to acelocale. i'll be removing them very shortly.

Wasn't sure if you still needed a closet gnome saved vars
not really but it doesnt hurt, closetgnome sets should be working via the outfit() function - or at least it was the last time i tested it
I like the new AI. I thought I would be turned off initially by the rules, but you have made it easy to get them sorted out (with the wiki page and the c/p boxes on the PT categories).
The only thing I would like to see, and I'm not sure its possible, is for the rules to be profile independent. If I set up a bunch of rules, I don't want to have to redo those for each guy I'm setting up as a good chunk are class independent. If I copy over my profile, then all my bag assignments go with it, and those are not the same from character to character.
And I do like the CG integration. So each to keep track of what goes with what outfit with just a simple rule.

Perhaps make it if you are in the default profile then those rules are independent or be able to turn on/off rules per character.
Personally I play each of my characters differently and need different things/locations for each of their items but I do use some things the same way.

i thought the rules were global (just like custom categories were), which bar you place them on is per profile though.
or do you mean that when you create a new profile there should be no rules on it? ie rules are linked to profiles and not global
No, As of the June 25th Beta (If there is newer I haven't updated) All rules are character dependent if you use a profile. If you make all of your rules on the default profile and then afterwards change profiles and copy your profile from default the default rules that you made will be on all characters.
I double checked to make sure. by logging in and checking on a few of my alts.
Feature Request: Open the Inventory not only by clicking on the Backpack, but on any of your 5 Bags. It seems odd, but i am so used to this behavior (sind AllInOneInventory) that i am sticking with Bagnon right now.

and yes i wiped my old 1.45 settings complete (deleted them)
using german client, if that matters

There is one file for general settings, and one for character sets.
