I have tried several possible replacements, EBB, ClassTimers, CooldownTimers2 and none do what Chronometer does, or did. Let me explain with an example.
My main is a hunter. When he places a freezing trap, Chronometer starts a countdown from 1 minute to 0. That's the duration the trap will exist for.
When a mob gets trapped, that countdown changes from 30 seconds (the duration the mob will be trapped for) and runs to 0. So basicly Chronometer displays the duration instead of the cooldown.
And that's what I'm looking for, an addon that displays durations. Since 2.4, Chronometer doesn't switch countdowns anymore when a mob gets trapped, it just reports the 1 minute duration of the trap, even though the trap doesn't exist anymore.
So so far I have no luck in finding a replacement for Chronometer.
SorrenTimers on files.wowace.com hasn't been updated since January 8, the addon on wowinterface.com has been updated and works perfectly. In fact, it's much much better than Chronometer ever was.
Hope this helps a few people like me that were really searching for an alternative for Chronometer. Now we just have to get this one on files.wowace.com :)
Thanks for the tip. Still isn't quite the same. so i looked through the code and tried to update
Chronometer and i think i did it. i didn't have time for proper testing, but i will upload it
anyway, so you can test it end tell me if it works as it did before 2.4
The Chronometer.lua goes into the core-folder, the Priest.lua into the data-folder.
PS: i only updated the time for starshards in the Priest.lua
PPS: not much response here. so i made a new Thread here
Chronometer seems to finally have died completely with the death of parser lib.
Been looking for a replacement now but can't seem to find one.
DoTimer looks okay, but the lack of visual settings is driving me nutts.
Spellminder, DoTimers or Sorrens are about it. Sorrens (for me) is the best as it actually tracks dots across numerous targets that aren't your current target (and it still has issues with other things, but works better than the others for me).
ClassTimer is also a fairly close replacement, althought it may be headed towards being unsupported as well.
Nope, ClassTimer is good only if you have one target to deal with. And you have to change everytime your targets to see how are they doing -)
But it's realy sad for me as a priest to see, for example, how long shackle will be at his place or if it's PvP, than when to renew my dots at another players differend than my target ^^
Given sorrens a good runthrough now and its doing okay.
Miss some setting fovisuals (like alpha settings, test bars and such)
And the "enemy skill" stuff i had to turn of, it wasn't just tracking mobs, it was tracking every skill with a duration used by any horde within range on Quel island. (and that can be a lot while doing dailys)
IMO a good replacemnt to Chronometer would be RBMv2 in the branches; and in the trunk & WAU when he pushes it live.
lots of features; a bit complicated to setup if your a fast reader and don't see what the tooltips say...

To handle that, you can use the focus functionality and a focus macro, e.g.:
If your current focus isn't already set to an alive, enemy mob, this will set your focus to your current target (unless you press 'shift' to force it to change). Then it cast Shackle on it. ClassTimer can track the debuff. Using this macro again will Shackle your focus again.

Is this normal that the mage talent 'Improved scorch' is not displayed by chronometer ? (latest svn version, frFR Client)
Chronometer hasnt been updated in months, so I suggest that you try out DoTimer or some other debuff monitor.

Make sure to get "Sorren's Timers (2.4)" from Wowinterface.com, not the one off the Wowace SVN (which is broken).
and it updates visual settings kinda funny (and can't handle totems if u for some reason recall em).
The settings for it is a pain in the ass...

Anyone suggest a working replacement for 3.02?
Maybe Yatba.
