Whenever I do a keybinding I get a warning from Spellbinder about how naughty it is to have identically named macros. I don't, unless it's counting the general macros as being separately named macros for each character. Anyway, should I worry about this? Am I missing something, maybe?

Yeah! I get that, too. I think it's because the WoW client has created macro-cache.txt files with macros in different character folders under your WTF root, that use the same names. I never checked this, though, I figured it didn't actually seem to matter.

(Incidentally, my issue is with myBindings2 - which has a very similar (exactly the same?) line in it. (There's a bit more code that needs tweaking as well, but your post was exactly enough to be able to figure out the rest.))
Still cant map the mousewheelup or mousewheeldown in myBindings2 for some reason.
Will post this issue in its forum as well.
Updated to latest spellbinder (using www.wowace.com/wau2), and can't bind spells that use my shift key combination. When I click "Click to set", and hit just the shift key, it comes up as "SHIFT+LSHIFT"... it won't take my second key. :S
I manually edited my cache file to get the keybinding I wanted.. but this is def. broken.

It's been happening to every modifier key. You cannot bind anything with modifiers anymore. I had to edit my binds in my file directly. I've noticed it since revisions after patch 2.2.
Well, I committed pudd's fix, which seems to work in myBindings2:
[03:15:58]< CIA-12>fin * r50855 SpellBinder/SpellBinder.lua: [03:15:58]< CIA-12>SpellBinder: [03:15:58]< CIA-12> - committed fix suggested by pudds in the SpellBinder forum thread (seems to [03:15:58]< CIA-12> work with myBindings2; hope it works with SpellBinder as reported - also that [03:15:58]< CIA-12> it's OK for me to commit this fix (people have been complaining for a while))
I guess it'll just be reverted if there's any problems.
is there any way how to find out which spells/macros are key-binded and with which key? I have the latest version, but the list button does not show anything (as u can see in attached file).

This apparently is caused by a Blizzard bug, and will be fixed in a future patch.
I would really like to use this as a standalone keybind thinger, is there a way you could stick the /script MainMenuBar:Hide() in there (mebe a check box option) so that i don't have to type it every time i log in? lol
And im not sure if this is still an issue, or if i have and old vers (r56094 as of this post) but the list is broken. Thanks!
*sigh* i think its broken? my bondings wont save. i tried hitting enter after pushing the buttons, all that funny ace addon quirky stuff, but for some reason it wont save... deleted WTF files... loaded only that and bug grabber/sack. no taint/errors, so im not sure whats up.

Working fine here. Select a spell, press the binding you want, and then click "Select Key". It prints a message to let you know it was successfully set.
oh, i was selecting the spell, pushing the "select key," then pushing the key i wanted.... and i figured it was set.... lol... I thought part of the problem was i had all the same keys bound to bongos, so i unbound them and tried it. *shrug* ill go try at it again! har har! any word on the list function?

List function was fixed a while back - at least, it's working fine for me. :)
The "Set Key" button is important. When you enter a keybinding, it's not immediately set, and tells you if that key combination is already bound to something else. That way, you can choose to overwrite the old binding with the new action by clicking "Set Key", or choose another binding.

Plus: naughty! Woo!
