when i first install prat it shows up on minimap button... after i turn that off (with furbar->hide?) how can i show the options menu again? a little easier then slash commands... i tried gui config waterfall etc
Combat log etc seems fine, but i have an extra frame for whispers.
The whispers go into the extra frame just fine.
The whispers also go into my main frame however, and even though i disabled whispers for the general frame, whenever i relog it simply puts whispers in the general frame again.
If i check options the whispers checkbox is disabled in the blizzard ui. I can check and uncheck it, then the whispers in the general frame stop, but after relogging they will simply come again.

I have exactly the same issue.
How can this be solved?

Exact same issue, but I have 4 chat tabs/frames and I get wispers duplicated in my main chat frame, and also party/guild/raid/bg/RL/RW duplicated in my main chat frame. Its not very consistant, sometimes it will just be raid and wispers, sometimes guild and RL, etc.
Can be 'temp' fixed by ticking/unticking in settings for my main tab, but comes back frequently (im guessing on zoning/reloadingui)
I would also like to know if there's a way to permanently save your chat channel settings for each window, as they continue to revert to different settings after each login :[

Heheh, this has been mentioned 4x now :)
Probably more,, but yeah, it seems to be a common issue.

Thats a blizzard error unf :( (it happends even if u dun have any addons at all)
I've got a minor Feature Request -- or Bug Report, depending on your point of view =)
I use the Alias module extensively, and it is inconvienent that the /listaliases function converts everything to lower case when displaying the aliases. The correct case is stored (all of my aliases /run some lua, and they do work), so it is just a display problem. But it makes it impossible to copy/paste an existing alias, because the lua I put in the aliases is case sensitive.
I found the appropriate place in the code to disable this, and doing so didn't introduce any problems. I'd like to see the change made officially though, so I don't have to edit the code after every update.
I guess it could be an option, but I honestly don't know why it would ever be desireable for the contents of your alias to be converted.
What version of Prat are you using?
I run my wowace updated every day... right now it says: "2.0 65876" in the
/prat about.
Do you use embedded libraries or standalones?
Embedded.
What language/realm type?
English/normal.
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Set up an alias (ex: "/c /4") and a channel-ordering (ex: "4: myclanchat") on one character.
2. Log onto an alt.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected output: Either the alt and the original character share neither
aliases nor channels, or both.
When on the alt, the alias is still active, but the channel-ordering is
not. The channel ordering is forcing itself to character specific.
The problem:
I want "/c" to talk on my "clan" channel. My clan is a group of friends
who are in different guilds, have tons of alts some of them not in guilds
at all, etc. So I log on and make an alias "/c /3" and set the channel
ordering to put my clan channel on channel 3. Then I relog, and my clan
channel goes to 4 for some reason. I set it to 3, and that doesn't work.
So I set it to 5 (what it currently is), now my alias doesn't work. So I
change my alias. Then I log back onto my other character, and my alias is
now for 5, but the channel is set to 3.
Sure, with a lot of work and relogging and testing, I could get this to
work the way as I intend it to work, but it's an ugly work around. What
I'd like is to get to pick which type of data I use through the profile
system. So if I want each character to have separate options set in Prat,
I can change profiles and set them, but the "default" should be shared
account-wide.
I think you are asking how to do this:
[14:03:55] [1. General - Netherstorm] [14:04:00] Joined Channel: [3. sylvaan] [14:04:00] [3. sylvaan] Channel voice enabled by Sylvaan. [14:04:21]Alias: /syl aliased to: /csay sylvaan [14:04:32] [3. SYL] [70:Sylvaan]: test
[14:10:18]Alias: /syl aliased to "/csay sylvaan" [14:10:18]Alias: total aliases: 1 [14:10:26] [1. General - Darnassus] [2. Trade - City] [3. LocalDefense - Darnassus] [4. GuildRecruitment - City] [6. sylvaan] [7. CTAChannel] [14:10:33][1:Sylvanaar]: test
In both cases i typed "/syl" to talk in the channel "sylvaan", and I didnt need to change my alias
I other words, just alias "/csay <yourchannel's name>"
The problem is "disabling whispers" in the general tab, that thread mentions is as elsewhere.
And another post there refers to it as doing console reload... thats the most stupid remark ever.. as relogging CAUSES the problem. /sigh
Haven't tried the download file yet,, might do later.
Verified. The /w stay in the proper chatframe now. :D
Though: Blizz really messed up in 2.4... Aggrometers and cc break loggers (Omen, ccBreaker e.g.) do not work anymore, for they changed the Combatlog.
thanks

The only real issue I have with prat atm.
Can something like this be done
Reputation with Shatered Sun Offensive increased by 12
// This is just example //
to
[Rep][SSO] +12
or that any other part of the chat user define abbreviation by himself?

Verified on german client. It's working! :D

using font module and clearfont2. i didnt change any settings. how do i get my prat fonts back to normal?

*sigh
Atm changing the font size from within prat requires a realoadui.
