After installing Prat I have the problem that my chat window is getting resized randomly. I can resize it back to its old size, but then after a while it gets resized.
I have been suggesting that it is some other addon than Prat doing it, but I cannot figure out which one (or conclude that Prat isnt the problem).
Recently I have been finding less and less satisfaction with coding WoW addons, and WoW in general - burnout myabe.
I have vacation plans, and perhaps may return afterwards, but either way, thank you all for your support over these many months! I hope you have enjoyed my work as much as I have enjoyed doing it.
Take Care,

Take care yourself! Thanks for all the effort you've put into the various addons and tools we use, it's made the game a lot more playable. Here's hoping the holiday changes your mind.
Please allow the shaman class color to be pulled from babble. Babble, and most other mods, pull thier class color infomormation from the global RAID_CLASS_COLORS array as defined by blizzard. If a user wants to change a class color, they can easily edit this array before any addons load by preceding it with a few bangs (!), I made my own one-liner addon to keep shamans teal after the 2.1 patch.
Oh, thanks for this! Now hoping Prat takes your advice so I can have the old teal back in chat channels too. :)
There were details on how to replace Prat's color 2 pages back. However I have removed it from the SVN build now. You will have dark blue back as your shaman color derived from the blizzard color tables.
Note the link, and use the workaround there
Thanks! Updated this morning and works like a charm. :)

Sorry to hear that - the Ace community will certainly feel the effects of your absence. Enjoy your vacation!

Great! Now I have a GUI to set up prat alt names :D
hey i got the problem that itemlinks are weird colored recently
the [ has the itemcolor, the name is grey and the ] has the channelcolor
like [G] Any1 need [Imba Item] ?
prat doesn't show any errormessages while starting wow, neither any other plugin does.
suprisingly not all links are like that. others are totally normal.
anyone an idea how to solve that?
I don't seem to get chat sounds from whispers, this may be because I'm using Cellular as I do get chat sounds from the other channels I've designated.
If it's because of Cellular, would it be possible to add chat sound support if using it? I ask this cause I'm frequently alt+tabbed and would like to hear if I'm being whispered for a group or anything.

Same to me and peronnaly would get rid of that ChatFrames module (coz maybe its that one troubling) but in is that Alpha option. Why not move that CHATFRAME_ALPHA option. Wouldnt it be better to just moe that small CHATFRAME_ALPHA option in another module? Be able to use CHATFRAME_ALPHA via ChatFrames module is annoying tho.
hi guys - using prat for half an eternity now - great mod thx for all the work.
well i was fooling around a little bit with my ui latly and i wonder how the location of chat frames is saved.
it seems that all settings i change in prat are changed for all characters (meaning all use the same profile - i guess on default) but chatframe locations are not saved in this profile. bug or feature?
another thing that kinda bothers me are the chatframe tabs - is it possible to hide em? in my setup the tabs are below an action bar and i just dont want to see them ^^
thx - and sorry if this was asked before - my search did not come up with something that looked like a hit.

Chat frame locations and channel colors are saved in chat-cache.txt on a per-character basis. You can find that file in World of Warcraft/WTF/Account/<accountname>/<server>/<character>/. Just copy chat-cache.txt from a character you like to all your other characters. The layout and colors will be the same for all of them. It's what I did. :)
i have probles using the "groupright-feature" ( /gr text )of prat because i also have grid installed.... grid responds to /gr and prat not so i cannot use this feature anymore :(

I'm not sure exactly what part of Prat you're referring to - it sounds like the Justify module, but I don't have a "/gr" command and, well, it doesn't mention "groupright" anywhere that I can see. I don't use it though, so if you could give a bit more information that would be good.
However, you can still access all Prat's functionality via the slash command /prat. There are aliases for subcommands (eg /alt is an alias for /prat altnames), so hopefully this will help. If not, please give a bit more detail.

Thanks, that was something I was about to start searching for myself. :)
Since I posted, I've spent the last 30 minutes trying to find a post/info on how/if I can disable the add-on message spam on load. Prat... so useful, so many features one day I'll learn them all :D
