ntroduction
Prat is a light framework for chat modules based on Ace2 libraries.
This thread marks the second major revision of Prat, which was released 5/24/07.
The Prat system consists of the core (Prat/Prat.lua) and a number of integrated Prat modules in the modules folder (Prat/modules/*). The core only provides a root slash command ("/prat") and registers a data file (PratDB). Each Prat module is a self-contained unit of functionality. You can choose to use some or all of the Prat modules depending on your individual needs. If you do not want to use a particular module, you can delete its file from the modules folder or you can toggle the module on/off as desired from inside the game.
The entire focus of the Prat system is to add chat related functionality to World of Warcraft. If you are looking for a feature or function that is not currently listed here as available or planned, then please take a moment to let the Prat Development Team know.
Why the name Prat?
Why the name Prat? That's a great question that I've seen asked quite often on the IRC channel. In theory the word Prat loosely translates to Chat in swedish. The system itself has nothing to do with Sweden, however inspiration for the name was drawn from thoughts of The Swedish Chef (Bork! Bork! Bork!), IKEA, Swiss Miss Hot Chocolate (Mmm..), Swedish Meatballs (Mmm..), and Swedish Swimsuit Models (Mmm..). It may help users to accept the name if they, too, think of these things. ^^

Glory bug i think was fixed, and I uploaded Prat 2.0 to curse and uiwow.
The version released was: 36560.1003
Later svn versions contain a shaman color change, and some toc field changes so that if you started the game with prat disabled, you can use an in-game addon manager to load it without a reloadui.
When I click Ok, the error message doesn't go away.
So I can't play with prat on in ANY battleground without having this error message in the middle of my screen.
And I did download the latest version, but I didn't delete the SavedVariables files in WTF though.
i have a problem, not with prat exactly but it involves prat somehow.
Normally the party chat is not splitted, so if you select party chat for a chatframe, you get party/raid/BG in it. Prat is now so cool to offer us to split this into three seperate chatframes if you want at least. An here is my problem:
I have 4 chatframes.
1. General: Say/Yell/General/Trade and some more
2. Guild: Guild/Party/Whisper
3. Raid: Raid/BG and two playermade channels
4. CombatLog
The first three are docked, for raids i seperate also the Raid one. If someone starts now talking in Raid- or BGchannel, i always see it in the guild and the raid frame. Then i have to select and deselect Raid/BG in the guild frame so i see these channels only in the raid frame.
Is there any way to solve this? i got this problem last month or last two months, it worked before and now it gets kinda annoying.
Question regarding Prat (36728) and the new Blizzard report spam function : When I right click on someone's name in Prat I do not see the new Blizzard "Report" function. Is this available in Prat yet? I have the built in Spam filter enabled.
Thanks!
Apparently this has nothing to do with Prat, the problem lies in PlayerMenu. So sorry.
Question: I noticed you changed the shaman color for guild members (at least outside of guild, names are still dark blue). While I'm grateful for the effort (Blizzard's is simply too dark), unfortunately, it is too similar to the warlock color so that I can't really tell them apart. Is there a custom color option and if not, could you briefly explain where and how I can set a different color for shamans? I'd really appreciate it. :)
hum.. had an issue with prat yesterday.. updated it, started wow.. and prat worked fine on all characters except 1.
it wouldnt even show if you typed /prat
i deleted some wtf files for that character, and it worked fine after that.
Just an odd curiosity.

Prat seems to be working, although I can't load it onto the FuBar.
Deleting ## LoadWith: Ace2 and ## LoadManagers: Ace2 from the .toc eliminated the errors and Prat appeared on the bar. I didn't notice that any other AddOns had issues.
Any official response to the bongos2 pitbull issues being reported having issues with prat running? I as well seem to be having the same problem, prat enabled unitframes dont upgrade properly and stance page swapping stops working, this only takes place when in combat? Hope a fix is found soon as i love all 3 of these mods.

So far, no relation to prat that i can see.

Its a global which is overriding the blizzard color. You can change it /script Prat.Colors.SHAMAN = 'ffffff'
your color goes there
Will this get changed everytime prat updates so we have to keep reseting it?
It was correct last night, shaman were a deep blue color. Today they are warlock colored.
edit: it appears that using that script will change the color, but I have to use it every time I log in?
Couldn't overiding the blizzard default shaman color be an option, or at least couldn't I opt out of it via an option?
Edit: For now, '2040ff' looks fairly close to other addons.
it wouldnt even show if you typed /prat
