chuanhsing, you have committed an invalid and out of date TOC file. Please revert your changes ASAP. I cannot fix this until I am at home this evening.
Please do not make me lock Proximo on the SVN like I have my other mods. Only update localization files. If you need something added to the TOC please alert me via PM or this forum and I will get it added.
If you have updated Proximo in the past 12 hours or so, there is a good chance it will not work for you.
chuanhsing, I fixed the issue that night and I'm sure it was just a small over site for you =) The best advice I can give is to always try running a mod alone with nothing else loaded before committing a change. While your change worked fine for anyone using external libraries, it broke it for anyone using embedded libraries.
Hello, I am a bit confused about how this mod works. I know that when you mouse over the targets they show up in the proximo box but how are the health bars of the enemy updated? Do the health bars update themselves or does someone need to mouse over or target that enemy again to show their health status as their health drops? For example, I play with two warlocks in 3v3 and if both warlocks target player A and apply dots then both warlocks target player B and remain on player B, will player A's health drop in Proximo if nobody retargets him or mouses over him? Thanks for your help.
Josiah67, it uses a variety of methods to keep up with each enemy's health and mana. Someone having them target or focused is always the most accurate but others include health bar nameplates and combat log. Since we do not have unit id's for every enemy, this is why the addon attempts to keep all the data in sync between everyone using it.
There are a couple of postings in other forums (wowinterface, curse) that mention a bug about the Proximo window disappearing and never returning. These are in test mode, not entering an arena. I suspect this bug may only happen with new users, users that don't have any WTF prefs saved yet for Proximo, but that's just a guess.
Also, I was wondering if it was possible to add a feature for hunters and druids using Track Humanoid, similar to the feature in a ui mod called Personal Sentry. When tracking humanoids, if hunters mouse over enemies (red dots) on the minimap, Personal Sentry adds their info (name and class) to a popup list of targetable enemies.
Currently, I have to use both Proximo and Personal Sentry. As soon as the gates open, I mouseover the red dots on the minimap to add all of the enemies to the Personal Sentry window. I then have to click on each enemy in the Personal Sentry window to target them one by one. As they are targetted, they are added to the Proximo window. So this is a multi-step process that takes several seconds to get the enemies into Proximo.
If Proximo had the same feature Personal Sentry does, I could mouseover the red dots on the minimap and have them instantly entered into Proximo (and shared with all teammates instantly). I wouldn't need Personal Sentry anymore for Arena.
