dodga, it looks like you are trying to change the options when the frame has not been created yet. I'll put in some tweaks to handle it, but really the frame is supposed to be shown (using test or in arena) before changing options.
Yes indeed. I read that you added some options and wanted to turn them off but I haven't been in an arena until then.
Maybe you could put some notice somewhere (e.g. as hint text) that mentions one should show the test frame before playing with the options.
While I'm here.. I find it hard to target enemies with Proximo because there is no feedback when you click on a bar.
So if it's possible could you add a border/highlight/effect that indicates that one has targetted an enemy?
As far as I know, everyone had the latest version, although they could have just lied in order to get games going quicker, and we also encountered this happening a few times, although this may once again be happening due to the version thing again:
I ran my 5v5 tonight and we didn't have that issue, but I'll look through the code to be sure. Syncing mana was added this last version, so if someone wasn't updated then I could see where that error would happen.
The feature set is almost done at this point, so requiring everyone to update will no longer be required soon. At that point I'll put out the 1.1 release to here and everywhere else. I will *try* not to add anything that forces everyone to be on the same version until a major release.
If you could add some feature that would do a sync-check when the party leader runs the command then it tells people if they need to update in order for it all to work, that would be a huge relief :P
Wow! Just wanted to weigh in, and say that this is a really great addon! I've been using Arena Live Frames, which is nice, but it seems like this has all it has and a lot more. Plus it's actively being worked on, which is awesome. keep up the great work!
Working perfectly now Grayhoof, the only things I could suggest is that you allow people to increase the size (in height) of party targets and the Mana bar :), but that may just because of the Scale you have.
Also, if you could somehow put some visual indication on the unit frames if one of the targets is low would be quite handy for some people I imagine, or at least my team's mage thinks that would be a really good alerting idea :)
Hello, thanks for this great addon Grayhoof. Thing it misses and i am having Gladiator addon still because of it is New enemy discovered spam into raid chat. (Raid: EnemyName: CLASS).
As i seen there was discussion about this and you werent sure how to apply it to Proximo without more people spamming same things in /ra
Well how to do it is simple, programming check and allowing it to happen only for raid leader for arena (the one who do queues you actually)
That way only 1 person will spam to /ra, and others can easily see it.
OR, how to do it other way. You were concerned that if more people with Proximo will have it, they will all spam, isnt there way to program some sort of Proximo LEADER for that group, and only him will spam it? So addon checks for it, and if you aint leader it wont spam to /ra.
I am requesting this feature since there wont be 100% sure all arena members will use Proximo, so simple posting Name: CLASS in raid is really an help.
If this appears i am deleting gladiator and using Proximo only :)
Can you make it so when you click the icon as well as the bar, it'll target the person? It seems like only clicking the bar will target them , and it makes me miss targeting a lot in the heat of combat. :)
Also, can you make it so we can choose the color of each class as well? I like my priest nice and bright white as opposed to the grayish-white. Small things like that. =)
I just got a nice idea for this addon. after reading a couple posts above. How about an option to have the raid leader (whoever que'd up) automatically do a /rw [Opponent Name] is close to death! (or something similar, when one of the enemies is below a certain percentage.
This way the text would be dead center on the screen and also has the raid warning sound, to alert all members to finish off the weakened enemy. Of course setting it as an option to those who may not want that seems like a natural idea. :)
Ackis, I don't plan to support that because if everyone in the group has prox, then its just spam. I'm considering other options.
Yah that was my concern as well. The issue I find is that I have one person in my arena who doesn't use mods, and can't talk on vent all the time, so sending it to party chat would help some times.
I tried using raid warning, but usually I'm not the leader of the party (too lazy to re-queue lol)

Now this does sound handy, though does require someone in your group to have the person targeted/focused to be properly trackable.
Just committed what will probably be the 1.1 release:
- Made class icons click-able
- Added Party Chat as option for announcements
- Added optional low health announcement and sound
- Lots of minor code cleanup

As for indicating someone is low, their name and health % changes based on their current health
White = greater than 66%
Yellow = between 66% and 33%
Red = less than 33%
