hmm
maybe check if your party/raid have Prox, if not - announce, if yes - just send sync data. Or allow to announce , but only for party/raidleader.
syncing will go anyway i guess ;)
such type of mods are useful, because you have a frame, wich is filled by enemy class colored hp bars with names (names even not so important), allowing to quickly target whoever you need. Knowing your enemy asap is priority @ arenas :) in other words, enemy team health monitor :)
I just committed the enemy announcements option. However, it does not send them to chat as if you have multiple people running the mod, you would get the messages multiple times. I'm not sure of a good way to get around that besides only letting the MA send them possibly? Suggestions?
perhaps add a switch to turn it on and off and use the raidwarning channel .. only the groupleader can speak to it so it will be only one who will announce ..
After doing some solid arena with it today, it seems that it bugs quite a lot at displaying your enemies, and every time it does this, it gives the same basic error along the lines of (Sorry for not noting it down :()
Also try disabling announcements and let me know if the errors stop
I play in enGB, and I turned off Announcements (which didn't work all the time, no matter about me being Party/raid leader 100% of the time.)
Every time it spammed that error, it was when it didn't generate a 'frame' for the unit, I'll go do some practice Arena to try and simulate the problem.
Looks good, have you decided on adding support for talents via Tattle? Gladiator has this and I love it. Also is it possible to make Right Click do whatever you want? Gladiator also had that and I found it useful.
Okay, I've just done around an hour of solid testing in practice arena, where the chances are I'm most likely going to be only person using Proximo at the moment, and here is my idea about what is happening judging from the results
From the hour of testing it didn't do the error once, and obviously I was always the first person to see them on Proximo, so there was no chance for errors to be created (my theory, although my be completely off..)
I think that with how the addon is currently communicating with other players is what is causing the error, I believe that you may be having it communicate by going X-Person + X Class, and the Class part of the communication is failing within Proximo / Babble, and is therefor refusing to spawn a frame for them in Proximo.
When I was doing 3s, In one game I was the first person out just for scouting purposes, and obviously I saw the enemy before the two other people in my party using Proximo, and I had zero errors.
Sorry once again for not being able to provide the code, but this is the best I could do, and I may be completely wrong :)!
syeren, is it possible someone in your party when you were getting the error didn't have the latest version? I changed it to pass the locale class name last night with the announcement changes. That would make since why you were getting errors as they would have been sending you "WARRIOR" but BabbleClass wants "Warrior" (no idea why it doesn't register the translations as the built in non-locale 2nd string returned by UnitClass). This may by why announcements were messing up for you too. I couldn't use IRC at work and I'm having to use a workaround to even be able to kinda see/post on this forum =)
DamageInc, at this time I do not plan on adding Tattle inherently, but I might add the ability to display the information if you have Tattle installed however. It just won't ever be embedded/included. I'm probably not going to be offering the same features as Gladiator. I didn't even know about that mod until well into making Proximo so I don't really want to go down the path of trying to mimic another mod. Proximo is mainly to be used for targeting and quick information and I really want to keep it lean and simple. You have unit frames to handle spell clicks and the like =)

This would most likely be the case, as it was always in full higher case when the error was reported.
The problem presented with this (unless you won't be changing it any time soon,) is that it's a pain the ass for getting people to keep their addons updated when they're not part (although minor,) of this community.
Either way, the addon is really nice at the moment, can't wait for the integration of mana bars though man :)

Ya, adding space to show the talent info from Tattle was what I was looking for. That would be great if you could do it, thanks!
Just committed the 1.0 release. Will be showing up on the UI sites shortly. Other features are coming, but I felt this was a solid point for a first release.
would be nice if proximo would also display enemy pets so i could use it instead of sspvp...another thing i request is the "bantobar" texture thanks for your work ;)
Pets are really not something I want to display and I feel would just present too much info for what the mods intentions are. It is not meant to be a full UnitFrame replacement but simply notification of enemies, tracking of enemy health, and coordination of attacks. This is why it will never have things like buffs, cast bars, "click casting", etc...
As for additional bars/fonts, install SharedMedia and you will have more than you know what to do with =)
First off wanted to say awesome AddOn. I'm using Arena Live Frames at the moment (which is a bit bugged feign death doesn't register etc). Is it possible to add a way to show who each person in your group is targetting besides the MA? That is the only thing I'm really missing from ALF.
My 5v5 team gave Proximo a try last night. Worked really well unless we got the same team back-to-back, it didnt like that much. Also didn't seem to like FD mechanics, but unfortunately I wasn't able to get much more detail, sorry.

i like to add another request for this as well. alf shows litle class colored boxes on each arena frame target to indicate who in your group is targeting who. currently its the only reason i still use alf.

How about this:
Ingame frame
Even better, with a main target frame:
A mask frame of the players:
Well, just my 2c...

Babble2.0 Failed to return 'WARRIOR'
For example.
