I suggest that Proximo add the ability to "guess" what classes the enemy are in the arena.
For example, in a 5v5, if Proximo only can find 4 enemies in the arena (such as War, Pal, Prist, Mage), but they are buffed with mark of the wild, Proximo should be able to deduce that the 5th person that is stealthed is a Druid and display this accordingly in the 5th character slot display that isn't "detected" yet.
Tabbing through enemies are not as reliable becuase you get pets, totems and whatnot and it can take quite some time getting your target using tab. Having target next/previous in proximo on for example the mousewheel would make it fast and easy getting my target in a second without have to worry about getting a totem or a pet and i wouldnt have to worry about actually facing or being in range of the one i want to target.

i don't know if you can do a target next/target previous within proximo. the target selection in wow is protected which means you can only target explicitly thru buttons/keypresses (ie - target unitxxx when i press button X). can't do much more than that, i don't believe.
Any possibility of having enemies added to Proximo frame after mousing over them in the minimap? This would be very helpful for druids/hunters. I think I've seen this asked for before, not sure how much of a priority it is, so I thought I'd toss in my vote for it also.
I've been taking a much need break from WoW, so only been keeping up with required updates for Proximo. I am slowly starting to get back into things and will begin adding new features in time. My currents plans are basically 3 releases over the next fee weeks/months:
1. A release to fix issues/enhancements with 2.3+ patch
2. A conversion to Ace3 release
3. A release with new features (Tattle, mini-map mouse over, etc...)
I will not be adding buffs, cast bars, etc...Its is to be used with coordinating targets and making targeting easier. Those types of functionality do not work well without set in game unit ID's, so until Blizzard changes how they work you will need to use unit frames for them.
3. A release with new features (Tattle, mini-map mouse over, etc...)
/cheers
keep it up mate. Being druid i just would love to be able add to the frames through mouseovering on minimap.
This addon is the most valuable addon for me while i'm in arena. The only think which annoys me at this moment, is macro support. Macros like /target *t;/cast Any Spell; only targets and nothing more. No spell casting.
The thing i noticed while trying to find out the right syntax: when i input the following macro /say Something;/cast Any Spell; it returns "Something;/cast Any Spell;" in say channel. So i guess line breaking doesn't work. Is there any way to fix it?

Just curious, I know I can get spec information using dogtags with pitbull/cowtip (was working in arena last week and was pretty amazing) . Would it be possible to apply this to Proximo?
Commit by ckknight :: r56922 LibDogTag-2.0/LibDogTag-2.0.lua:
LibDogTag-2.0 - hack up WoW's inspect system to gleam talent info from everyone requested.
* simplify some talent checking functions.
* note: due to what I'm guessing is a bug in Blizz's system, talent info is available from both factions as long as the other unit is visible (not even has to be within 30 yards).
i realize the list could go on forever, but the having keybinds for left/right clicks makes me wonder about other actions via keyboard. obviously two buttons is pretty standard for a mouse, but aside from running out of action buttons, it seems like you could have more buttons for other alternative functions. /cast polmorph or /cast counterspell or /cast spellsteal. i have to choose one right now for my right click function. it'd be cool if i could define some other auto-macros that get called by keypress.
Would it be possible to add 5 small boxes under the enemys playerframe, so see who they're focusing. Like the ones to see who your mats are attacking, except its for the enemys

no. you can't get that information without selecting a target and you can't select a target without clicking on a button/hitting a key. that being said, it's possible to tell the other proximo users who your current target is targetting and to get that info from them, too. but if nobody is targetting unit A, then nobody knows who he's targetting.
I see that someone has already requested spec information similar to what CowTip is displaying. I second this for sure. I always mouseover the enemies in the arena to quickly determine specs and choose a kill order.
I've just committed a new 1.4 beta release so it should be migrated out shortly. I've had limited testing with it without major issues (and works with 1.3 users), but please use at your own discretion. Please post all bugs/issues here.
- Changed Arena zone code, removed Babble-Zone as a result.
- Fixed RaidWarning announcements (though doesn't work as well).
- Moved localization to its own folder.
- Added optional talents display using the 2.2 new talent API. Talents currently work for enemies but may not in a future update. Note you may need to increase the width of your bars or reduce font size to make talents display properly.
Also, a note about the minimap tracking for hunters/druids: unfortunately it doesn't look this is going to work with Proximo as it is just a tooltip. It doesn't give you a valid unitid that you can use to gather the needed data with, so it does not fit with how Proximo is designed. The only thing it gives you is the name, which isn't enough.
Grayhoof, I just wanna say how happy and grateful I am that you keep developing your addons. Out of my 300+ days played, at least 250 were using at least one of them, mainly SCT by a large margin, but I can't imagine doing arena without Proximo right now. The general quality of the addons and the extremely high level of support is what makes your addons special. Keep up the good work! <3
