This addon was created by Antiarc.
It puts an animated avatar on your screen that does various sounds and animations. You can choose between a murloc costume, firedancer, and kael'thas.
Because this has been out for 3 weeks and I see no mention of it on any forum thread, I thought I would create this thread in hopes of gaining support for it.
Flippy is exactly the type of innovative and fun addon that can be used to relay common events to us in a new way. It has the potential to do much more than it currently does, to be expanded, and incorporated into other addons or librarys.
Aside from adding more animations, characters, and polish to the addon, it could:
Animate depending on the current state of the player (dead, attacking, eating, poisoned, etc).
Take the data from a waypoint addon and /point animation while rotating.
Use the games chat bubbles to relay tells, optionally popping up a new character and using that persons race/sex as an avatar.
Animations linked to selected bigwig events.
I always through Clippy was cute, but the assisted search was too annoying (i.e. noob-friendly with no functionality for power uses) so I had to turn him off. I don't know that I'd want an animated murloc (much as I love murlocs) on my WoW screen at all times, though. Maybe if he just appeared on specific events and then vanished again after relaying his message...
