I have tried WIM a few monthes ago, and found it a bit bloated (much less than Prat, of course) and a bit complicated (compared to Cellular).
The lack of a thin window mode made me get back to Cellular quite fast.
To each his own :]
There's one nice thing about WIM, though: the history.
Hmmmm? Cellular has a history of all chat through it as well. I can see ages back.
And WIM.... not interested myself, and I don't like the look, either. But I know some people that do not like streamlined interfaces and prefer the classic wow-look over thin borders and such. WIM definately integrates nicely into the classic wow interface. Looks-wise I mean.
I tried the tabs for a little bit. I think it would be nice if there was an X (close button) for each of the tabs. I ended up just right-clicking on the tab and closing it through a menu.
One thing i do not understand is the number in the parenthesis. It used to show the number of new messages, now i am not really sure what the number is showing. There might be a bug with the counter of how many new messages there are (maybe its not getting cleared when you view the tab or uncollapse the bar).
Ultimately, i ended up turning the tabs OFF in fear that i would send a Mistell to someone. I am not sure how, but maybe figure out a way to make it so it's more obvious who you are sending messages to, though i am not sure how to accomplish this.

Thanks for your feedback. I've considered a close button on each tab, but there could be a problem with accidental clicking, especially when the main window is small or you have many tabs (making each tab smaller). I would like others opinions on this.
I can't reproduce any miscalculations on the new messages notification. It shows how many new messages you received from that person while the message window isn't visible.
If you can think of a way to avoid mistells, let me know. The active tab is highlighted (maybe brighter or bigger?) and the name does reappear in the chat editbox. It does seem like you're used to the another way (w/o tabs).

Would it be possible to close it on middle-click, or something like that ?
Great addon, using it for now a year, Tab are welcome..
Some Suggestions:
_ a smart history removing: select a date (for x week(s) or for (x) months..) and/or a minimal length to delete history... I have PLENTY of /w in BG of people who want to know where my bear mount and/or my stuff come from ... I would like to remove them (less than 10 lines) without using the one by one option (more than 250 logs) and keep some interesting whisp.
_ don't show edit box when switching Tab.
The auto minimize in combat isn't working at all it seems, and anyway could u make it more like close if getting in combat instead of minimize, the thing i really love about cellular is that it's non invasive, at least not like WIM.
Another question, is there any quick way to bring it on screen, like fubar button or ?
How about an option to auto close after (slider to choose) seconds, in combat or not.
Fantastic Add-on TotalPackage, simply the best out there with the features available coupled with being lightweight and non-bloated.
A few features that would make me fall absolutely in love with it more than I already am.
Auto-Minimize (there is an auto-minimize new windows when in combat feature) - I'd love to have this feature set for all new windows, so I can manually maximize when convenient.
A FuBar hook, so it shows up on the FuBar bar - minimally so you can access it via the FuBar hook, but would be nice if the "tabbing" would spawn on FuBar for increased usability.
Sizing - how about a little bit more flexibility with sizing (I'd like to make it a bit smaller, but have hit a height threshold with the program and the buttons.
Last but not least, title page opacity would rock.
I'd love to help out in anyway I can, I think this add-on really has a lot of fantastic things going for it.
I've added an option to always minimize new windows (regardless of combat). Also, I reduced the restrictions on height/width resizing, but it's your responsibility if the whisper window gets too small and ugly.
I don't know exactly what you're referring about "title page opacity." Cellular already has a window opacity along with background alpha settings.
No on the FuBar requests, especially now due to all of the libraries nonsense. There are some whisper plugins out there, and there's always WIM.

It's just that WIM's is... different.

Indeed.
Or give a way to move easily between tabs (using mousewheel on the tabs ?).

Really need some way to keep the text in my normal whisper frame in addition to the little conversation frames.
Done. This may also solve some compatibility issues with other mods...or make things worse.
if not a fubarplugin, how about a minimap button ? Something like wim does ?
