i too am at a loss as to how to use this. i never used PowerAura, in any form, and i don't know anything about the game's mechanism for applying visual effects. what little documentation exists seems to assume a lot of arcana on the part of the reader that i simply don't posess (like, the order of operations for using the mod's configuration UI, what to enter where, and etc).
perhaps someone could generate a simple, but comprehensive example? by "comprehensive" i mean making no assumptions about what the reader knows. start from the beginning (a fresh install of Avion), and detail every keystroke, mouse click, and etc, from start to finish, in bullet list form (or something similar), for something basic.
I agree that the configuration is way too complicated. I consider myself very competant when it comes to things like this, but I have yet to understand half of the configuration options.
Maybe the addon is trying to do more than it needs?
I want to check if target/player/focus has, or is missing a certain buff/debuff.
If conditions are met, assign an animation to play until conditions change.
Having some extra options like rage/mana/energy requirements, or combat/ooc is nice, but until the above requirements are met, I consider this addon unusable. :(

the LibCooldown bug fix doesn't seem to have made it work. I don't have an error now, but there is no animation for my trinket CD. Unless I'm doing something wrong, which I don't think I am.
i cant seem to get the spell\ability cooldowns to work.
I make an entry, say for "Stormstrike" a shaman spell in the cooldowns, associate it with an animation, and it never goes off. Ive also tried it for "Holy Sheild" with the same result.
Am i missing something?
I'd like to use Avion to watch my "Hypothermia" debuff, which has a 30sec duration, but the max. duration for Color Animation (In my case Blue -> White) is 10sec. Can I change this somehow?
I did use PowerAura for some time and then stopped with 2.0 because it was broken.
Now I tried out Avion but I could not get it to work the way I wanted.
First, I created a Animation
Then I used the trigger player gains debuff (For my test I tried out entangling roots).
Worked, every time I got the entangling roots the debuff appeared.
Now to my Problem. when I use player gains debufftype (magic or curse) I could not get it to work.
As my animation worked with the single debuff I suppose my animation is correct, but the trigger does not work.

I wanted to ask if theres a possibility to renew the animation if a buff renewed himself before the buff ran out.
So in my case that would be Light's Grace a paladin ability which lasts normally 15 sec, but keeps renewing it with every new Holy Light casted.
Is that possible? It worked with Power Auras so I think it should be possible with Avion but i dont know how :(
This mod is in dire need of its own GUI! LOL wow after poking at it in Fubar and setting up an animation or two, I went back to Power Auras. How about adding it to SCT even, would make it a lot easier for a nondev.
I could be wrong but I thought that the author said the addon would not be stand alone and that it would be dependent on moduals that people wrote for the addon.

I'm anxious for those triggers for 'on buff loss' to disappear the animation. It will 'complete' the mod IMO.

For me, I just need some simple Events: Curse/Magic/Poison/Disease, Slow, Root, Stun, Fear.
Helps to see them in HUGE Letters :)
