Hi there,
I've been using my own barmod since the dawn of wow (originally a modification from bibtoolbars 2.0) and updated it since then with all kinds of features. But since now I have no longer the time to keep it up to date I was searching for another addon that could replace it while retaining most of my features. With Bartender3 I've found this addon.
I just have one small request to make it perfect:
There is already inclued bar swapping with modifier keys (alt/ctrl/shift). What I'd like would be an additional swap if alt and ctrl are pressed together (I had for example: no modifier:bar1, alt:bar2, ctrl:bar3, alt+ctrl:bar4).
I seem to be having a few problems with Bartender and being able to bind my keys. When i go into the Key Bindings menu after hitting [esc], the only bar that shows up is Bartender Bar 1. Non of the other bars show up. Anyways what im getting at is that i want to bind my middle mouse and the left/right mouse buttons [4 and 5] but i can't bind those manually using the /bar bar1 keybindings button5 function. If anyone has any insight on how to get my other Bartender bars to show up under the Key Bindings tab, i could then bind my mouse buttons.
What I'd like is if I have actionbar1 set to change to actionbar6 when I go into cat form, it actually moves me to that actionbar. That way my previous/next actionbars are 5 and 7 instead of 10 and 2.
The way it is currently is how the default UI does it, I believe.
You are correct to the best of my knowledge. Currently, I've just created a bunch of macros that switch depending on what form I'm in, but I'd like to know if there's an easier way.
For some reason my equipped items don't highlight like they should. Anyone who had a similar problem? I'm running the latest version with cycircled. Also, how can I make Bartender show whether a buff is active on me by highlighting the button? I kinda got used to that while using infinibar, but had to switch back to Bartender due to it's drastic performance issues in 25-man raids.
so here is my problem, for some reason, all my buttons disappeared. well i tried to put them all back and it appeared fix, but now when i go into stealth, my stealth bar does not appear. bar 1 stays there. any ideas on how to fix this?
I was wondering if Bartender3 can "roll" between 2 bars with the mousewheel?
I currently use the defaultui bars with all of them open and that gives me 2 bars left that I "roll" between. I keep one as single target and the other one as AE spells and I wanted to know before I started playing with this mod if I would still be able to do something like that.
There was a nice little featurette I saw in the latest Trinity Bars update, that I'd love to see stolen for Bartender:
- When a spell or item is picked up while in config mode, the docks will hide themselves so that it can be dropped into an empty button. The docks will re-show themselves when there in no longer an item or spell on the cursor.
Any chance of adding this behaviour? I've often been in the middle of fiddling with my bars, and found myself having to lock-then-unlock quickly because of picking up an item somehow.

I dont really get what the trinity author means with "dock" tho. Could you elaborate?
I tried Trinity along time ago when it first was released so i could be off...
I think the basic idea is that if you were to pick up an item when the bars were unlocked (ie. config mode) they would lock and allow you to place the item that is on your cursor onto a bar. Once placed, they would switch back to config mode and let you continue. 'Docks" are the various bars or some such in Trinity.

Or I could be wrong ;)
You're not. :) Thanks for explaining it.
Simply: if the bars are unlocked, and you pick up something with the cursor, then unlock the bars until the the item is dropped somewhere.
This lets you drop the item on an action bar easily. Currently if the bars are unlocked it's not possible to add items to buttons via drag and drop.
Hope that's clear! Thanks again for all your hard work. If you ever need like, babies, or something, I'm free.

Make sure you're using the latest version. If you have AutoBar installed, make sure you're using the latest version.

Issue is that Infinibar has the ability to do that, but no fadeout ability and vice versa with bartender3. =(

any info would be most appreciated.

edit: or do you want to customize the colors?
