I'd would LOVE to see this happen, as well as global scaling / alpha / etc. options. These are the only ones missing which keep me fooling around with Bongos..
EDIT: oh, and interactive keybindings mode.. That /really/ helps speed configuration.
For some reason I thought that I could set up one bar to switch per stance, one bar could change depending on the stance I was in.
O.k., can someone give me advice on how to set up the 3 different bars per stances? I believe if not done right I'd have all 3 showing in any stance...
Bar 1 > Button Paging > Stances > (pick your stance) > (set the bar you want to swap to)
Set up the bar like you want it, and then hide it. It can be located anywhere, it doesn't matter.
I guess it's hopeless (and moveablebags is not was i'm looking for) so I'll just shut up. :(
I'm not sure how MovableBags is not what you were looking for... It lets you tell the bags to open wherever on your screen you want. Then you can either lock their positions or leave them unlocked to drag them whenever you want.

Do this for each stance I take it?
And this was posted earlier...so is there more than one method?
Battle Stance and Stealth are Bar 7
Defensive Stance is Bar 8
Berserker Stance is Bar 9

-> How do I make my pet bar buttons to stick and not be able to be moved accidentally?
-> Is there a way to show the global cooldown on all buttons (much like blizzard animation) when I cast a spell?
First of all.. I apologize but I admit I haven't read all the pages of this thread (looked way too long).
my plan was to set up two computers (a desktop and a laptop) to play wow which should be configured differently (due to hardware differencies) and my plan was to use blizzard bars on one and bartender3 on the other. However.. since they are "tied".. it is a problem because the setup of spells on one comp will influence the setup on the other.
Is there any way to have them "untied"?
Strictly speaking there is no way to keep them separate -- as Seerah explained, Bartender3 uses the same "Action ID" system as Blizzard's action bars, and the mapping of spells to action IDs is saved by the server. You could, however, use the Simple Action Sets addon to save your configuration on each computer. Then when you log on, you'd just need to switch to the layout you wanted on that computer. You could probably even make a mini-addon to switch it for you. :)
Thanks. This SimpleActionSets looks exactly what I was searching for!
@fred: Those bars you listed at the end of your list are the Blizzard defaults. You can set it up differently if you wish.
@psyquest:
1. unless this isn't applying to the pet bar for some reason, just lock the buttons on your bars (I think you can just click the Bartender icon to lock them)
2. get Omni Cooldown Count from wowinterface.com
Hey guys,
I just got bartender3 with a mod pack i downloaded and its great. Im haveing 1 slight problem and i didnt wana read 72 pages of this thread to find the answer.
My main is a druid and i have configured bars 1-3 to page over depending on the stance im in. It seems that randomly it will not change to the correct bar when i change stances. It will remain on the bar it stuck to no matter what stance i engage. ReloadUI doesnt fix it for some reason.
Here are the conditions.
I use Bar1 for Normal form
Bar 2 for bear
Bar 3 for cat
This bar is also hidden all the time as i only use buttons 1-3 as hot keys.
I also use this sort of setup with my warrior and it has never been stuck like this.
The only fix ive found for it is to go in and disable then enable the bar.
seems that randomly i'll get the same 3 buttons disappearing from my actionbars.. but if i go into the options for those bars and reduce the number of buttons to display and then set it back to normal they appear :(
SS added
I noticed this on my newly-rolled Rogue alt the other night. Half of the buttons on two of her action bars were disappearing except when I had my sPellbook open. Reducing the number of buttons to minimum and then setting back to maximum only temporarily fixed it.
As a workaround I set those two bars to show the button grid and haven't experienced the issue since.
Edit: I also noticed that non-default alpha settings selected by the user for the Stance bar still aren't applied on login/reload.

Make sure to lock both bars and buttons. Separate checks for each.
On my warrior the profile is set to the character profile of said warrior. I switch to my hunter who has a profile set as char profile of that hunter. They have diff names - yet if i set the keybindings for one it will show up for the other char. How do i make keybindings unique to each character?

In the key bind menu there is a check-box in the upper-right corner that toggles between shared and character-specific.
I play WoW on different monitors (= resolutions) and that's why some of my bars has gone out of view, I can't figure out a way to move them since I can't see them. Changing resolution, ui scale isn't helping.

Omnicc did the trick. but my pet bar buttons refuse to be locked in place. all buttons cannot bemoved accidentally, but the pet bar button which can be moved even when the rest of the bar buttons are locked.
Anyone has an idea on how to lock the pet bar buttons and stop them from accidentally being moved?
thanks for your help.

But ah well...
also be nice if ya had other placement controlls like bongo, like for roll frame.
also be nice give ability to relocate other frames or anchors (like bag anchore), i like the looks of this mod more then bongo :D
just need to fix randomly disapering icons and control bag placement
Do this for each stance I take it?

I tryed bartender3 previously, and switched back to bongo's specifically due to sticky bars not being available.
Has bartender3 added this feature?
did you see the post at the top of the page from yesterday? ;)
Hah. No. tbh, a 72 page thread seemed like to much to go through to find an answer. :D
I guess I'll hold off on bt3 for a bit longer.
bongo's is a great mod anyways.

Anyway to reset positions or something?
