I used to play with actionbars configured like at the picture attached. Buttons placement is not the main. Its easy to configure similiary way with any addon. The main is how does it work with stance (shape, stealth) swithing. Before the last patch i used flexbar. With flexbar powerful macros i could configure any button to be stance-dependent and show an unique action at various conditions. Its very important playing rouge and especially druid. Now after the patch flexbar doesnt work...
1. Is it possible with BT3 to configure button placement this way?
2. I use about 7 bars with more than 20 buttons with each stance. Is it possible to gain different actions within this buttons at various stances?
For easy understanding: i want that my buttons binded to 1 - 6, q - w, r - y, a, g - h, z - b, m3 - m5 can be different actions with different stances.
I really like this mod, but I have a problem with it that I can't find a reference to anywhere else.
Periodically, a portion of the buttons will have their spells changed. The keybindings remain the same, the picture in the square changes. This happens on all of my characters, even ones that have no stance changes. The behavior is different on each of them. On one character, one bar will become exactly like a different bar, on a different character most of the buttons on the main bar will disappear. I really can't find anything to correlate it with. It's like a stance change was triggered somehow, even though I didn't do anything to trigger it, and on two of my characters there aren't any stances to switch to anyway.
If I run the command /console reloadui it fixes the problem.
On the characters that do have stances, if the problem is in the bar that has a stance swap set up, switching stances will fix it, but if buttons on a bar without a stance swap are altered, I have to reload the ui to fix it.
So far, I'm really liking Bartender3. I just have two issues, and I haven't seen these problems mentioned in this thread, though I may have missed them.
First, and I haven't found anything that does what I want that WoW 2.0 didn't break, is that using ALT for selfcast doesn't work on bars that have other key modifiers for the hotkey. For example, I have the normal key bindings for action bar one, and the same key bindings but with a shift modifier for my next action bar. However, if I press Alt-Shift-1, I selfcast the first action on the first bar, not the second bar. This is using either the Blizzard UI selfcast, or using BT3's selfcast.
I've found a workaround for that, and that is to make holding the shift key on the first action bar pull up the actions from the second bar. Not how I'd like it to work, but at least it's just a minor visual change rather than broken functionality.
On the other hand, I haven't found a workaround for the second problem. The BT3 Stance bar doesn't have the option for key bindings, and using the Blizzard key bindings doesn't work with BT3 installed.
Has anyone found a solution to either of these problems, or is a solution planned? This makes my druid a bit hard to play.

I took a bar that's pretty much unused, set my forms there, keybound them, then hid the bar leaving it active.
I'm using Bar8 for that - in the FuBar plugin you check enable, uncheck hide, do your bindings, re-check hide. As the wjhole bar is hidden, no buttons show at all.

It's too late and I leave for work too early to go look it up now ... but I did read something on the WoW UI & Macro forums about this. How I remember it, the modifiers get "stripped off" of the keybind along the way and you don't get quite the "click" that you expected - there is a fix coming for this in 2.0.2.
Hello, and outstanding work on Bartender3. Thank you very much for the hard work on it.
I play a Protection Warrior in an Endgame guild, and love what the addon allows me to do!
I recently decided to start playing my druid alt again, and tried to configure my UI. I'm having an issue in that there is no option to set Button Paging -> Stances to anything other than Feral forms. . . I want to be able to bind a bar to Cat, one to Bear, and then a seperate bar to "caster". The reason that I need to be able to do this, is because I play with nothing but hotkeys (Nostromo N52)and am dependant on the Keybindings sticking to a single bar (depending on if I am Bear/Cat/Caster).
Is there a way to do this? Any help is appreciated.
Default is always Bar1 ( Caster ), if you configure a switch to lets say Bar7 for Cat and Bar9 for Bear ( thats the blizz default ), the keybindings stay the same and the buttons change accordingly. Thats the overall default setup for druids anyway :)
thanks for making such a great bar mod, i'm loving it. sorry if this has been answered before, but how do i hotkey an action in the stance bar? i like to use my thumb button to stealth and right now i have to put stealth in a hidden bar and bind it to that button. this works but it doesn't highlight the stealth button in the stance bar and i end up hitting the button one too many times. also, can you enable the numerical cooldown count for the stance bar, i would be nice to see how many seconds until i can re-stealth. thanks for all the work.

This is due to pressing SHIFT and ARROW UP/DOWN or MOUSEWHEEL UP/DOWN simultaneously when you focussed a button ;)
I think this is a restriction to the current blizz UI and should be fixed in 2.02 :D

edit: Hmmm perhaps it won't be fixed because blizzard speaks of "shift+click - operations". I don't know exactly what they mean with this line (perhaps my English is too bad)...
I loved this addon but i am not making my macros with the operator "#show itemname" work
I the default blizzard ui, the macros with this operator in the beginning shows the numbers of that item you have in the inventory.
But with bartender3 this numbers is not showing anymore.
There is a fix for this issue?
Ty
Is the Middle Mouse button mapped in a way to be able to use it as a modifier for macros in BT3? If not, is there a way to map it such that the following macro will work:
/cast [button:S01] Seal of Justice; [button:S03] Seal of Light; [button:S02] Seal of Wisdom

Sorry, I have to ask. Did you just post a screenshot of a screenshot? So, in other words, did you just recurse down the rabbit hole fast enough to meet Kevin Bacon somehwere at the end? This is so meta, I like it.

weee? Its not a seperate addon, so it wont get listed seperately. But i had no problems with it in any situation.
Try updating to the latest version, i forgot FuBar in the OptDeps before, maybe it solves your problems. ( Didnt affect me tho. )

Sorry for my crappy english.
Even with 'show hotkeys' enabled they are still not showing on bar 9 and bar 10.

Aha! You are absolutely right, thanks very much.

I get when having this macro on the button
/equip [button:S01] Obsidian Edged Blade
/equip [button:S02] Bloodlord's Defender
/equipslot [button:S02] 17 Dal'Rend's Tribal Guardian
That strange thing though is, that it works perfectly as it should, left click gives me the 2H and a right click the two swords.
Is this a Blizzard or BT3 problem?
