You aren't insane. I did the same doubletake tonight after I ran WAU. I manually reverted to Bartender3 r19516 which I thankfully had a local copy of. The keybindings submenu exists there.
yep i wasn't insane :P i was blind. bindings are in the KeyBindings menu of WoW UI.
Hi Nev, i'm now experiencing a few errors in version 20104.
On UI loading i see this error message: Cannot register library "Ace 2.0". it is part of the global table in_G["Ace event"].
and another message appears when i try to increase or decrease the number of buttons on a 2+ rows bar.....buttons get a placement bug too.
Just an update:
- Pet Bar shows Cooldown Count now
- Right-Click self casting is back
- Using Shift-<n> or any other form of manual paging works again.
- Secondary key bindings should work as well now
Any planned fixes to get the macro like "/cast [button:1]Conjure Food; [button:2] Conjure Water" back to work ?..
Ya, also interested in getting this fixed asap. and how i tried before i realized it was Bar3's fault it didnt work ^^
Anyhow, love this mod ... doing a *great* work with it =)
Same problem here. Looking forward to a fix.
Otherwise this addon is great.
Simple fix, use [button:S01] and [button:S02] .. the 0 is basicly the page you are on, for non shapeshifters thats always 0. If you are a shapeshifter, and have your page set to 7, its S71 and S72.
The numbers for bars using manual or modifier paging are more complex and really shouldnt be used. sorry. But i dont think any other bar addon would make that possible at all.

but what about mouseclicking?
edit
like, again :
[button: RightButton/LeftButton etc]
That solution is for mouseclicking. S01 for left button mouse click and S02 for right button mouse click.
dem it, didnt work for me!
i am sure i tested, but gonna try it again right now.
edit
allright, i made some *solid* testing
S0x works only if your macro button is located on bar 1 (S7x - on bar 7), if you move macro to any other bar (inlcuding blizzard default, like number 4 - right vertical bar) - it wont work no matter what you try to put at "y" - Syx (S41 for example if put on bar 4)
on default blizzard bars it works on any bar available.
hope this helps.
edit 2
Cease fire. have done plenty of testing, seems like it was all about syntaxis - i was useing ";" after each string (or its was voodoo magic, couse just now i got everything working and the only thing i changed is this ";" )
example of final macro that works:
/use [button:S01] Crippling Poison II
/use [button:S01] 16
/use [button:S02] Crippling Poison II
/use [button:S02] 17
thank you Jojin for making me do all this bar dancing.
Do you have the Equip you change in any Action Bar ? Or does it "just" happen ?
This raises 2 issues:
- After shapeshifting back to caster form (Druid), whatever keys I have bound as "secondary" keys from the keybinding interface, refer to the bear/cat action bar and give me "You need to be in cat form" error message.
- Self-casting breaks with Shift-x keybindings. I have set Alt as the self cast key from Blizzard interface and pressing Alt-Shift-1 tries to cast a spell from slot 1 to a target instead of from slot 7 to me. Alt + 1-6 works just fine though.
The secondary bindings issue should have been fixed in a version from the weekend .. i hoped.
But, once i get my keybinding changes in again, and you rebind the keys directly with BT3, that should not happen anymore
your other issue, thats a blizzard "bug" .. well a limitation. might be fixed at some point by them.

Ah, it is indeed working correctly now.
And about the 2nd thing, I thought they already got around it... I recall seeing a post by Slouken about it. Too damn vague memory and I can't even find the post again.
Hello. Please forgive me if I overlooked where it has been explained how to move the bars around. How does one go about doing this? I have tried various combinations of button clicks using mouse buttons and modifier keys. I appreciate any assistance I receive.

Easy, use the command /bar to print a list of slash commands. I believe the command you want is /bar lock. If you use FuBar then it is even easier. Just look for the Bartender3 FuBar plugin (the icon looks like a beer stein). Right click on that for the clickable menu of commands. Once you have unlock the bars, drag em to where you want them to live and use the lock command again to lock the bars in place.
Thank you. I did see the lock in the /bar options, but I didn't see how that would "unlock" for movement. Of course, I had just woken from having little sleep...
Seems like with the latest version (or at least one from today) it's back to not changing when you change shape. My warriors bars don't change when I change stances, same with my druid when changing forms.
Went back to have other shot at Bar3 again today and figured it was all ok, bars switching with stance and stuff and went to AB happily. But it seems the bars refuse to switch in any way while in-combat. It works fine for me OOC though.
I now have the standard 7,8 & 9 pages for each stance and it works nicely, OOC that is, is this a known behaviour? If not then it is now. :)
(Sorry if this has been asked before, I haven't seen anything about it from all the bartender threads I've seen).
This has been causing a lot of frustration for me with setting up other addons as well as just regular gameplay.
How difficult would it be to make empty buttons not consume mouse click events?
For example: I like to have a 3 row toolbar near the middle of my screen for any sort of situational/temporary buttons that I need fast access to (may be a raid macro for a certain boss, quest item, etc). Most of the time this bar is completely or mostly empty. I find way too many times I try to target a unit or spin the camera and have clicked on an empty button and it does nothing.
There are workarounds for this, but nothing too nice. This problem causes some other ui issues with my layout too (empty buttons sometimes overlapping other addons with not very high strata). Again there's workarounds, but nothing appealing.
I remember other blizzard toolbar replacement addons I've used in the past have not had empty buttons blocking mouse clicks...
Hi there, sorry if this has been answered before, and I tried to do a search within this 17 page topic but couldn't find any answer.
Anyway, I have a macro that does this: /use item 13;/cast Healing Touch. Item 13 is my Talisman of Ascendence, so basically, every time I push the macro, it tries to use the item, then casts the spell.
Unfortunately, range coloring doesn't work with this macro in Bartender3. As a workaround, I have Bar10 with 1 button at 200% scale that only contains Healing Touch, so I use that as a big huge in my face "out of range" notifier for my healing spells.
Any way to make Bartender3 check within the macro to determine range coloring? I know it's smart enough to look inside a macro for cooldown (I have another macro that says /target myself;/cast nature swiftness;/cast healing touch (rank 11). That macro will correctly show the 3min cooldown on top of the macro's button on the Bartender3 bar.
Thanks in advance for any thoughts! Great work on the addon!

Limit the number of buttons in the options to the number you actually need right now. There is no way to change the buttons click behaviour in combat. Either is clickable or not. And out of combat you can change the bar length how you need it.

try placing a #show Healing Touch at the beginning of the Macro. BT3 uses only API commands to detect range and they are causing that.

Keybindings _HAVE_ to be set through the Dewdrop menus again to make them work in stances. Its back to the functionality of the 19501 Release. The Bindings in the KeyBinding UI are gone again because they didnt work correctly and caused confusion.
Additionally to the Dewdrop Binding, i will implement a key binding tool like Trinity or Bongos use. But its not done yet and not implemented.
yep i wasn't insane :P i was blind. bindings are in the KeyBindings menu of WoW UI.

One of the reason is that the new patch broke alot of the add-on I uses back then, and i need replacements.
I like how easy to configure Bartender.
One thing that doesnt seems to work for me, is that even I enabled right-click self cast. Nothing happens.
Any ideas?

Thanks so much, I knew there was some goofyness with the API at work there but just couldn't figure out the right command to put in a macro!
