Happened twice last night...once when I looted: immediately when I shift clicked on the dead mob's loot. This happened outside an instance. Also happened a few minutes afterwards but when I finished combat.
Interestingly I had bartender set to not lock buttons, so I dragged my spells down from my spell book and where my first action bar would be I was able to add actions. This bar did not have the usual 1 to =/0 on the button faces though. I then logged out to the character screen, logged back in and my default bar 1 was back again!
Is there anything which I can do to help determine where/why this is happening?

I can't really experiement with solutions since the only way I can test it is during the fight and i can't afford to wipe the raid.
Anyone have suggestions. Is there a way I can stop the pet bar from swapping out my original keybindings. I can put the macros in right before the fight.

There are several addons that offers this, but i would recomend Performancefu.
And btw, fubar shouldn't add minimap buttons, it should remove them :p (assuming ofc u have the actuall fubar addon and not just the plugins, and that you add them to a "fubar" and turn of the "Attach to minimap" option)
Just seconding a request for ButtonFacade support in BT3.
BT4 support for it is poor atm, BT4 isn't exactly usable in it's current state either, and with your decision to not support cC in BT4 means i'd rather there be a transition period between the two than change both at the same time.

Long time user of Bartender, but I am perplexed. As a hunter I am trying to use a couple of macros .... but when I try to link them it doesn't work out:
okay, so the above is supposed to be in the usual WoW interface. I have tried to switch the kill command line to Bartender3Bar1Button12 ... and darn near every variation. Can someone who is infinitely brighter than I tell me the solution? :D
I also had a problem with the Constructs on Gorefiend. Every time I targeted one, I got a large LUA error on my screen (And I know it was Bartender because I turned it off for the next attempt and it was fine) and I couldn't use any of the skills. I don't have any strange keybindings - in fact, i was trying to click my ghost's spells so I doubt it was keybindings - but I still couldn't use any of the skills. Any idea what could be up with this? I might see if my guild would mind me trying this with my Bartender on again for the sake of posting a screenshot here. Just don't know if they'd be willing to sacrifice their repair bill for their bar mods ;D

I've gotten this a few times myself, and with the same setup (using bar 1 as the main paging bar). What I've noticed is my bar all of a sudden starts showing bar 6 (which is disabled and not used for swapping at all), and will not change regardless of stance. Disabling paging for bar 1 will display bar 1 as intended, but of course the stance paging won't work there either. A real pain in the butt when it happens mid-instance. >.<
I've been working on a custom mod of my own and in the process I came across what I think to be a bug in the current version of Bartender3 -- it could be that I'm a build or two behind, however, as I've been jamming code for a couple of days and haven't updated my Ace mods.
In any event, I spotted the following in button.lua on line 552...

With the standard blizzard UI when I press my previous action bar button (shift+mouse scroll up), it would rotate through the action bars. However, only the first 2 action bars were used and the others were removed from the rotation because they were on-screen. I used all the bars - both bottom, and right - therefore when I pressed my previous action bar button it only scrolled to action bar 2 -> back to action bar 1.
Currently with Bartender3, it cycles through ALL action bars. The only way to fix this, is to enable the blizzard default action bars ONTOP of my Bartender bars, which is obviously not playable nor practicle.
I am wondering if its possible to do something similar with bartender 3, being able to select which bars the main action bar will cycle through, because this means I have been forced to have my action bar 2 on-screen at all times and just fade it out. This is really bugging me!!
Is it possible to stop empty buttons on BT3 having outlines?
I am levelling at the moment and learning spells every couple of levels. as a result, I keep having to adjust bartender.
I want to have more buttons than necessary, for further expansion. However when you do have empty buttons the outline lights up when mouse-overed. is it possible to stop this?
I accidently mapped my Escape key to a Bartender3 function. After unbinding, I have no Esc functionality in WOW and don't know what to map it to to get it back (nothing obvious) or what to do to get it back. Anyone know?

Bind the option called "Toggle Game Menu". (that is the "Esc menu")
If you can't acess keybindings, just delte the WTF/Account/accname/bindings-cache.wtf

Thanks Kerecha! That did the trick. It toggles a stack of things off then the last thing it does is Toggle the Game Menu on, then again to Toggle the Game Menu off. Okay, kind of makes sense. I was looking for a more generally named function.

If you can't acess keybindings, just delte the WTF/Account/accname/bindings-cache.wtf
and
WTF/Account/accname/server/player/bindings-cache.wtf
to clear all keybindings and start over.
