MusicStream doesn't work anymore. The mechanism it used could be exploited to export data outside of WoW in realtime so Blizzard had to patch it.

It will play MP3's from your computer as soon as I get my svn pwd reset (formatted and lost it).



Script auto generates the lua and pulls the id3 tags out for use in game. Then in game, the lua file is read and tracks, etc are built...

Can some please tell me WHY Blizz removes this ability??

oh, a security compromise?? Horseshit!! all I want is to listen to music! ANd as far as other mp3 players go....I had a hard time getting them to work...so complicated! Please try to make it as easy to use as u did u'r musicstreamer.....:)

yeah its a bummer :( This addon's combination of simplicity and functionality was great and I hope that it can find a way to live on.

Updated today? 1/14 ...doesn't say much in the changelog...hhmmm??

I changed it on the Addon Listing for MusicStream but havent committed the changes yet, because still waiting on my pwd to get reset.

Ty Benumbed, I'm just getting anxious..:(....I have looked off/on at other mp3 players....but none posted as an actual ace mod.I'll try not to chew my fingernails too much over this..lol

Ohh, I am looking into other ways on how generate the file if anyone has any suggestions.

This Is BULL ^#@#$ from Blizz , i was the original person to come up with the whole music streaming idea...... the original ShoutCast! and DIFM! .... should of just shut my mouth and not released my addons online and just used them myself :( lol

One weird thing. I logged in this morning to see if the quick patch destroyed anything, and was greeted by 2 errors on line 204 - trying to concatenate 'prevfile' a nil value.

Quick solution was to rebuild the playlist and /rl

Just an FYI if'n anyone else runs into this issue.

Only reason it would get that is if the Track variable is > or < number of tracks available, or if the MyMusic.lua file didnt load.

Will look into this to make sure tho.

Added check to see if any Tracks was loaded. If none was found, it will show "No Tracks Loaded" on Standalone Player. It also shouldnt give errors any longer.

Added Track Length and Track Time Playing (how long song has been playing) to Standalone Player.

You can also toggle the Scrolling ID3 Tags and Track Time Playing on/off in the Player Settings (menu).

If Scrolling ID3 Tags is off, it will just show the title of the track and wont change every 3 secs like it does by default.

Added option to Randomize Tracks (off by default)

Toggle to switch it on/off is under general settings.

when musicstream is loaded, deucecommander will not work nor can I get to the musicstreams gui from fubar plugin or the stand alone control. Dunno if anyone else is having this problem but thought I would post.

Deleted my copy completely and redownloaded from wowupdate to make sure I didnt have something different. Mine works fine and I cannot reproduce that. Sure its not another mod?
