Absolutely top mod, I've used it since I first heard of it and recommended it whenever I've had the chance. I've had the occasional problem with false positives, but the mod behaves exactly as it should and always allowed me to easily filter them out. I'd have to say though that the reason I really like it is that without expending any noticeable effort, I've been able to reduce the amount of spam while still actually contributing more to The Cause than I ever was before (which was nothing, of course). I've sent in a complete cockload of tickets about spam thanks to SS and while I'm sure I haven't exactly single-handedly damned the spam flood, at least I can feel smug about doing more than most. And I like mods that let me feel smug.
Ok, the mod had some startup-issues. Things I hadn't foreseen (learn-2-read documentation). And some issues that didn't show during the past 2 weeks of testing. I just updated the SVN with a new hotfix, hopefully the last for a while now.
Thank you all for the kind feedback!
If you'd like to keep posted: I'll be logging major updates/changes in the first post of this topic.
I'd love for these two mods to be interoperable :)
I'd love that as well Alcaras. Unfortunately the WIM author currently doesn't have time to update his mod, while the mod does have some tainting issues. As soon as they are fixed I'll add a module to make these 2 mods compatible once more.
I have a problem with SpamSentry as it filters out regular sale spam from the Trade channel seemingly at random:
02/12/07 14:47:21 - Taager (trade):
wts cff0070ddHitem20590000001638061189hSentry Cloakhr 2xcff1eff00Hitem70800000002091105001hEssence of Waterhr 20xcff1eff00Hitem22452000000498928366hPrimal Earthhr willing to sell cheap if u buy much
I suspect this might be a result of some conflict. I am using Prat (27684) and GFW_Linkerator (2.0.2). (or maybe SpamSentry does not like the 'willing to sell cheap' phrase?)

We meet once more Cordelia =) This particular message got caught because it contained 2 blacklisted words: "cheap" and "buy". By itself this would mark the message suspicious, but there are other factors taken into account: e.g. the message contains itemlinks, which gives it some bonuspoints. Keyfactor must have been the level of the character, which was very likely very low.
I'm sorry for the false positive, but this particular one is very hard to fight. Lowlevel (bank)characters selling items are almost impossible to distinguish from goldsellers.
I notice the same issue as Cordelia. I'm not bothered by the false positive so much (last one was a level 70 warlock, posting an item link with the word "cheaper" in it), but I'm curious why the item links are in their code and not showing up as simply links. Thanks again for the cool mod though, makes my WoW experience a whole lot more pleasant.

A message from a level 70 unguilded character, including an itemlink, would have to contain at least 3 blacklisted terms to be marked as spam. =)
As for messed-up itemlinks in reports: this is a result of stripping all non-alfanumeric characters from the message. I'll fix this in the next release.
