I'm neither developer nor author, and I love SVN :D
Before I start WoW, I just have to open RapidSVN and Upodate all my Addons. Done.
No more searching through overloaded websites, if there is an update.

SVN > all ;)
updating via SVN == lazy.
I will grant that typing "svn update *" and going then going out for dinner while you wait for it to finish is nice, but it slows down the SVN for everyone.
If you're concerned about "overloaded websites" (by which you probably mean Curse), use the "add to favorites" feature.
Hit up Curse/WoWI/ui.wow every evening and check your favourites page/profile and download the update yourself. Unzipping a bunch of files is not that hard to do.
That'd be ok, if the updates on those sites were remotely as frequent as on the SVN. A good example here is FuXPFu, which could do on the SVN what I needed looooooooong before I could find that on wowinterface.com.
The auto-zipping ain't bad, is that folder meant to replace the general SVN-access?
Copying this here, also posted on Norque's WoWInterface.com portal:
Hi. Currently, there's one lacking feature preventing me from switching to ShardAce from Shardtracker Resurrection - and that's the present inability to remove/disable/hide the Spellstone/Fireston button. It's close enough to useless for me that it's just a suck of space around my minimap and enough of an annoyance that I'm sticking with Shardtracker Resurrection (which offers the ability to disable -any- button I wish in fact) for the lack of it.
Yes, I could move it off somewhere off from the minimap, or hide it with MoveAnything/Visor, but that's a kludgy workaround.
Not to quibble with your assertion, but why do you find the soulstone button useless?
I ask because my addon, SnaFu, is dedicated to information regarding the soulstone (along with ultra-lightweight Servitude replacement), and it would be helpful to see another point of view on the usefulness of information tracking with regard to (what I see as) one of a warlock's key roles in a group.
If you solo all the time, I submit that this will not always be the case.
If it's because you use SnaFu, then that's awesome. :)

Will there be no update for WoW 2.4? The german client doesn't show me the UI of ShardAce. I think the problem is that I play a female warlock, and with patch 2.4 female warlocks are called "Hexenmeisterin" and not "Hexenmeister" anymore like the male warlocks...

Please add this?
