Its like ShardTracker, but less broken :P. Seriously though, I've spent the last three days updating to Ace2, and I've split it into 2 addons: ShardAceEngine, which handles all the ugly stuff, like inventory and spell tracking, and ShardAce, which is the classic interface we know and love, which should make it easy to write new frontends, like a fubar plugin for instance.
Going to upgrad, when the "The latest version of this file is currently awaiting approval from a file admin. You can download a previous (older) version from the archive." message is gone ;-)
nah, im too lazy to use the SVN :P hell, i didnt even download a client until the other day when i needed to get all the new babble-lib stuff for this. Took me a half hour or so... i hate my crappy dialup.
Just installed and configured it, just some things I recognized ...
- for some reason /sa position cursor is seeing my cursor somewhere, but not where it really is... (could be because my WoW is configured for 1280x960, but I'm playing in windowed mode/maximized on a desktop resolution of 1360x1020 -- but Visor's MoveToCursor is working, maybe look whats different to yours)
- /sa hstrade gave me the following error
ShardAce\ShardAce.lua:536: attempt to index field `db' (a nil value)[/url]
Rest of the configuration worked correctly... unfortunatly no more time to play today and test some more.
updated, finally... anyway fixed the /sa hstrade error, and a potential issue with sending messages.
Sariash: Thats just weird... I did try lookin at Visor, but after a few minutes of trying to keep track of os and es and db.x and who knows how many other one and two letter variables, i felt like shooting myself in the face.
stripe: you've probly already looked at it by now, but no. There's no real changes, some new options, mainly dealing with buttons, cause i got sick of everyone wanting to move them :P

Its not that important if no one else experiences it... I just moved the ShardAceCount button with visor, no need for any movement code in ShardAce for me ;-) I like the formations though, using diamond now - makes it a bit easier than moving every one of the 4 buttons itself.
I don't suppose there's a chance you could make it look/act like NecrosisLDC? I admit that I'm a bit of an aesthetics person, and I've got enough crap around my minimap :|
Well.... truth be told, I was/am toying with the idea of doing a necrosis style front end. Might take awhile though, currently got an insane mod idea im working on ;)

Necronomicon from the SVN is an Aced version (sorta) of Necrosis
@ Norque - Yay! Well, I won't be picking my lock up for another couple months anyway, so I think I can wait a bit (although I can't wait to see it :) )
@ Lanacan - Yes, I was hoping for an Ace2 version ^^;
Not sure if this has been addressed or not, but here goes. Currently just respeced and got fel domination again. Well in my summoner menu after use of the spell, there is no cooldown showing for fel domination, not sure if it is supposed to be there or not?
Also was curious about the tooltips in the summoner menu? Is there not suppose to be any?

Would you consider letting someone else put it on the SVN on your behalf? It's very convenient having it there for those folks that are used to using the SVN system...
How is the SVN any better than uploading it to WoWInterface for the people here?
As it stands now, SVN hosting benefits two classes of people: Authors and Developers.
For the masses, going to svn.wowace.com/files is just as easy (or difficult) as surfing wowinterface.com and tacking stuff up on their favourites list. Harder, actually, as scrolling through the /files/ list is a bit of a pain to figure out what's been updated recently.

SVN Updating is by far easier then the other usual way of just downloading it off a main addon site.
But in saying this, it all depends on the user however, The majority of Ace Addon users use the SVN for there updates. This is why he asked for this to be added to the SVN.
The people that don't use the SVN, for the most part, have very few Ace'd addons. And I doubt most of them even know how to use the SVN, or we wouldn't see soooo many asking "What is SVN?"

Any changes to the functionality or just an update to Ace2?

Also turning off certain buttons (spellstone) would be nice too.

Visor. If you are here, Visor, by all means.
I changed the sounds a bit but still they have a volume too high. Any hint to keep it low ?
