Is there a way to edit a buttons text to reflect the macro name? Even if I manually type it in somewhere? I played with Bartext some..and well that put it on all the buttons on the bar, not just the button with my macro in it.
I noticed somethings in brackets like [itemcount] and such...maybe I am supposed to add something like [macroname] in there?
You can also configure the button's text directly on the button configuration. Turn off the "Use Bar Text Sub" option and type in the text. I dunno if there's an auto option for macro text, but you can type in whatever you want directly.

I know that optimization and lag and stuff with paging was addressed previously, but I am still noticing some huge performance hits. Not around paging, but when using the bars in a raiding environment. It isn't noticeable in 5-man content, in 10-man it becomes noticeable, and in 25-man it's enough to cause FPS loss and "stuttering." It seems to be tied to players receiving buffs/debuffs and being in combat, as the performance hits are only seen when actually fighting mobs.
While raiding last night, I had Infinibars running and was noticing the hits. Logging off, disabling Infinibars and re-enabling Bongos (that was the only change) caused the performance to be back to normal/smooth levels.
I'm not sure if any others are experiencing this (a lack of posts on the subject might indicate I'm unique because the performance is enough to definitely take note) so aside from the standard bar setup, I have my bars set to show when I have a target and am in combat (so they fade out when no target or combat).
Let me know if you want further detailed information and I will gladly provide it (I realize this initial report is a bit vague at the moment, so let me know what you need).
Noticed a similar problem as Delsphynx, I set these bars up yesterday, but when it came time to raid last night I was having huge lag/fps issues, so I logged out disabled infini and re-enabled bt3 and everything was fine.

If anybody is up to it, Grab Expo from the SVN or files.wowace.com and use the Profiler to check out the following two namespaces while running 10-man or larger raids:
InfiniBar
AceLibrary("IBInfiniBar-1.0").prototype
Then post or PM me screenshots of the profiler tooltip.
I almost never do raids, so this is something I'm unlikely to ever experience myself.
Has anyone tried using this with the bitbul unit frames? I set mine up and for some reasson when i cast spells then the button stays highlighted in a green border afterwards and then the icon for the spell replaces the target unit frame...
also for some reasson some of my feral skill icons are now gone from my spell book.
oh ok one more thing :) ummm for some reasson I Cant get the stance/shiter bars to let me shift back from the form once I shift to any of my other forms on my druid.. umm can anyone help me out?

If by bitbul you mean pitbull, it was working last time I fired up WoW.
I have no idea why your feral skill icons would be gone from your spellbook, and I'd be amazed if it was InfiniBar causing this problem.
And finally, shapeshifting should work, though I will admit that my little lvl 19 druid isn't the best to test this out. If you continue to experience shapeshifting problems with your druid, please provide step by step sequences describing how you are encountering the problem. Without that, I'm unlikely to find the problem.

Um, confirmed Pitbull and Infinibars play well together on lvl 60 druid. However, my druid was missing spells from her spellbook also, but this was because I had to RE-TALENT her. Then all her spells were there. :)
...and Jesus once said: "Know the difference between User-Problems and Program-Problems. Respect ya!"
Back to the issue: Every 2 seconds or so I got a minimal lag when I use infiniBars. I got the image that IB checks in this time the existence of Buffs and debuffs...
#showtooltip in macros doesn't seem to be working - it shows the tooltip of the first /cast (or /castsequence) spell. Also, is there a way to have the buttons display the names of macros (using some sort of status text like [macroname], perhaps)? Hard-coding them into the individual buttons really isn't an elegant solution...
All in all though, I'm quite liking this mod - I've been searching for a good action bar mod since 2.0 broke Discord, and IB, despite some issues (the inability to drag items, while understandable since it's limited by Blizzard's API, is pretty damn annoying), it's the best thing I've found since TrinityBars (which unfortunately seems to have been abandoned by it's creator).
I am not sure if this is still possible but is there a way to show and hide bars if the target is with in certain ranges? As a hunter being able to change between melee and range seamlessly with only a few key binding would be great, at least i think it would be.

OK, definitely seeing some performance issues with InfiniBar. There's a slight UI lag when soloing, but when in a raid, it gets really pronounced. It seems like when I'm casting, the cast bar will move normally for maybe 2 seconds, lag for half a sec, move normally for another 2 or 3 sec, then lag again.
I don't know if this is something that's fixable given the way IB is designed (not based on ActionIDs), but it really makes raiding quite impossible with that UI lag.

Hope this made some sense...
Thanks!
That did it. Thanks! :)

just switched from Bartender3 to InfiniBar and love this mod.
But I'm used to cast heal spells on myself with alt + keybinding, how can I do that with IB?
Bump on all counts. :)
Will install expo tomorrow and if grouped and it does it again, will get you a screenie.
