Ahh sory forgot to put a note there, just have eePanels running. It will copy the layout from the eePanelsDB, then temporarily disable eePanels. If its all satisfactory, you can then disable eePanels all togther

Edit: realm came back up so I could test. Import works correctly now for panel names
so if your eePanel2 name was say 'Chat' and you had eePanel4(lets call it BG) parented/anchors to eePanel2 it should on import make BG parent/anchor to 'Chat'
I was having troubles with a couple of new Panels I set up - when I changed the background color, they went solid and the alpha slider did nothing. The background color SV:

btw gradiants are still turning solid for me
If they were parented to eePanels... yeah you gota reparent them sorry but cant help that.

Is the background color alpha overriding the panel opacity?

The answer appears to be yes -
Makes the panel translucent at the level I needed it.
So if you panel alpha is 1
and the bgcolor is 0.8
0.8 is being used for the color
