I'm wondering if we could make our own events? An example would be, I want to make an event saying that I gained a soulshard. It would say "+Soulshard!" or something. Is there a way? I kind of miss that from MSBT.
i believe that comes standard. check the notifications.

I have, and while playing on my warlock today, no notification message would pop up...
Is there a way to make Parrot notify you when an ability is used on you? For example, when a kick or a pummel lands. I know how to customize the silence message, but that only seems to trigger when you're actually interrupted, I want to know when a warrior wastes his pummel and misses so I can safely cast without fear of interruption.
If you left-click the fubar plugin, you get a nice waterfall GUI.
At last check (a few days ago), the Waterfall GUI just had "Enable" and "About" buttons along with the standard "Profile" sub heading. However I will go back and take a look again.

Eh you could actually check the svn log to see that the addon have been updated many many times since "a few days ago".

As a Rogue and BM Hunter with ALOT of outgoing damage events there are too many different colors involved in the standard configuration. I can get around some of these but there are several limitations that deter me from using Parrot.
- There seems to be no way to color my pets damage (it is physical damage and in the same color as my autoshoots).
- Crits can be made sticky but you can not color them. Especially in a raid situation with Sword Spec, Windfury, alot of haste, Deadly Poison, Rupture and white hits there are simply too many events going on to differentiate crits from the rest (no a colored "crit" ist not enough). As a lucky string of crits can mean your death it is crucial for me to differentiate crits clearly from normal hits.

I do update on a regular basis (as in daily for mods I am beta testing). However when I get a setup I like, I usually do not mess with it unless it is broken (the "Why fix it when it is not broken" approach. And when I did my setup, the Waterfall menu had not been fully implemented. Now that the menus are fully implemented, my previous post is now moot. Time to drop the subject.

This mod is still in alpha and has been seeing around 10+ updates a day. While I see your reasoning for stable releases of mods, that is not the point of beta testing. Beta testing means that you update it and test it, reporting things that need to be fixed/changed. Not sticking with one version until it breaks and asking for things that have already been implemented.
edit: and did it not occur to you that the waterfall GUI would have been more flushed out after a few days since it's not even finished yet? Sorry... I think I need caffiene... :)

I aslo miss that notification. I checked it today. Its not in avaiable notifications.
As a shaman, when interrupted by Counterspell or any other similar mechanic it places numerous spells on cooldown. I'm then spammed by the cooldown on all of my nature spells being finished. Is there any way to tell if a player has been affected by such a mechanic and suppress any subsequent cooldown messages?
Thanks for any help and for making the addon, I'm really enjoying it so far.
Just a side note: This mod just made my arena pack for my 5v5 team. The ease and simplicity involved in adding events and tweaking display areas is unbelievable. I finally have a UI that helps me see whats going on around me. FANTASTIC
ck - i know and uderstand this is in Alpha testing;, but an idea to consider,
Hourglass handles cooldowns for both spells & Trinkets (Inventory as well) and outputs to a supported SCT style addon. would it be plauseable to offload the Spell CD's to another addon and let it Hook into parrot &/or SoarLib to announce CD events?

Read the changelog and update, I seem to remember this went in recently.
I noticed also that Soulshard didnt come up after my latest update. I checked the notifications and it looks like it was deleted from there cause there is no Soulshard in the list anymore.
I tried make a own notification but i didnt find anything about that in the lists to chose.

So, am I setting it wrong? Shouldn't parrot be filtering all my VE and VT stuff every 3 seconds, or however long I have it set for?

Its working now. Thanks.

Yay and it's back! Please excuse my European, up when you're asleep, impatience CK... :-)

I only get overheals to show for my incoming heals. How do I set the overheal function to be active also on my outgoing heals?
It would be good if you could add more sounds. Some actual speach saying e.g. "pot ready" would be great.
