This has probably been posted, but if someone could just point me in that direction, that would be appreciated...don't want to scan through 15 pages :(
I use Parrot, replaced SCT, and absolutely love it.
One qualm, which i hope is an easy fix:
When I crit, and Kill command is triggered, the notification "Kill Command!" is shown, but the crit which triggered it is not.
Is there a way I can get both the notification and the crit itself to show?
I can confirm this. It used to work correctly a couple weeks ago when I was first configuring Parrot and now the crit will not show in any scroll frame yet the "test" option wills how a sticky. If I turn off the Kill Command trigger then crits come up and sticky like they should. You can get the crits to show at random if you have your pet attacking at the same time but that is only random.
Also, the feign death trigger does not work. I can give more details if needed just email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Apologies if this has been posted already, but I think I've found a bug:
When I play my hunter and my pet dies, the game stops displaying UI errors (eg: "Your pet is dead." "Out of range." "Target not in line of sight." etc). The problem persists if I /reloadui or re-log. I can fix it by logging out, turning off Parrot from the character screen addons menu, logging back in and out, and then turning Parrot back on. I can then have both Parrot and my UI errors until the next time my pet dies.
Parrot - make it so that when triggers fire, combat events which come from the same source will not fire. This basically removes the major purpose of suppressions.
In most cases there's no need to see both (like when you dodge and mongoose bite becomes available) but he probably wasn't thinking about the effect this would have on kill command, since it's triggered by an event (a critical hit) that almost everyone is going to still want to see. So it looks like the answer to your question is "no", but hopefully that will change eventually.
Parrot isn't showing damage for certain pets. Combat pets (ex. Netherwing Ally from Commander's Badge trinket) don't show any damage events, nor do the snakes from Snake Trap.
For reference, both of those things show up as pet events in SCT, MSBT and the Blizzard FCT -- although, as near as I can tell none of them show the damage from the poisons applied by snake trap snakes (so it may not be possible to show that). But at the very least the Netherwing's arcane bolts/melee damage and the snake trap's melee should be visible, as they show up (and are throttled appropriately) in MSBT.
And yes, I did have pet events enabled. The damage from my scorpid pet was showing just fine, and in fact, MEGA-KUDOS to Parrot for actually showing the damage from the scorpid poison DoT. MSBT and SCT didn't show this last time I used them (which for MSBT was as of today, for SCT it's been a while longer so I cannot say for sure whether it was later updated to reflect it).
Parrot is definitely eating my crackers, though. Good job.
I managed to configure Parrot, i think i did well, but i have absolutly no idea what is the suppression option ? And what i have to deal with ?
One thing i supposed is "suppresion" option could ignore some events or damages dealt, and as a demo this is very interesting to suppress (hehe) the "xx (Spiritual Link)" who spam me when i take damage.
anyone know if there is a way to shorten the names of healing/mana totems? WoW treats them as player names instead of spell names, so they print out especially long even with truncate/abbreviate options on.
Hm, Parrot used to say "Shocks Ready" on my shaman, now it says "Elemental Combat Tree Ready". The only thing that has changed that I can think of is that I recently trained my first rank of Frost Shock. Anyone else have this going on? I seen some posts in this thread stating that hunters have a similar problem. If someone else can confirm this I'll post it up on jira.
It was an intentional change, I think, but it doesn't seem to be a big hit. I know I preferred "Shocks Ready" too.
You can filter out totems by creating a new suppression for each one, and entering the totem name in it. I imagine it wouldn't be too hard, though, to hard-code a filter that would abbreviate "player" names if they contained the word "Totem". If I have time after my raid tonight I'll look into it. I've been annoyed by the same thing. :P
