It might just be me since I have a particularly sensitive (i.e. old) computer, but does anyone else notice a jump in the memory usage of Autobar post-patch?
It used to take about 10mb max, but now it jumps to 15-20 mb
It's mostly working now. I still have to click a second time to actually pick the food (i.e. I get the glowing gauntlet cursor), but at least I don't have to open my bags anymore.

Mmm, so its not quite autotargeting yet. The code was not lucky enough it seems. I am still not gonna level a hunter just for testing though.

... [AutoBar uses 5 gajillion gigabytes of memory?] ...
Please read http://code.google.com/p/autobar/wiki/FAQ about memory & why that is incorrect & the real use is more like 500-700 kB. You can also use the search function at the top of this page & read previous forum discussions about it.

Just let me know what I can do to help you find and fix the problem. I can install any debugging tools that might be helpful, and provide whatever logging info you need.

Ok in AutoBarButton.lua uncomment this line:
--AutoBar:Print(baseName .. " texture ".. tostring(texture).." itemLink " .. tostring(itemLink) .. " itemString " .. tostring(itemString));
and the one a bit further down (remove the -- at the start of each)
Change the one a bit further down from
--AutoBar:Print(baseName .. " AutoBarButton:SetAttributes bag " .. tostring(bag).. " slot " .. tostring(slot)
to
AutoBar:Print(baseName .. " AutoBarButton:SetAttributes bag " .. tostring(bag).. " slot " .. tostring(slot).. " type2 " .. tostring(type2))
THen reloadUI or relog.
Tell me what the type2 value is that prints to chat for AutoBarSAButton22.
Ok 27656 Sporeling Snack is not in PT3 at the moment so its liable not to work. So I need to know what type of food it is (fungus?)
Is it inedible to people?
You have food on button 23. Button 22 is usually pet food. If you do a reset on the profile tab, do you still have the issue? I do not think the pet feeding stuff copied properly in the old AutoBar when moving buttons around but I dont remember.
On the other hand if you use one of the pet food categories it should work...
on another note... autobar is still causing cyCircled to not work and all my buttons are missing with the alpha versions. Also when I log in with the alpha version i get massive spam "Autobar"AutoBarButton:UpdateTextureNew AutoBarButtonFoodCombo" ect

How fascinating. Ok, it will make its debut in alpha 11. I think you can probably get the alpha to use it properly by putting it in a category with rightclick targets pet.

you dont have to target the pet, thats what makes it a lil weird, you actually just right click it and if you pet is near you it uses it and gains stam

I was using the beta before, but switched to alpha 10.
Sporeling Snack is an item that you use like any other item, and gives a "well fed" type buff to the pet. It's more like a scroll than a food. It only works for pets, and your pet doesn't need to be targetted.
Chiming in with (what I hope is) a clarification on Sporeling Snack: it is not a food. It is an item that, when right-clicked, will give a stamina+spirit buff to one's pet (my hunter and my warlock use it; I imagine it would work on my mage's elemental, but I haven't bothered to see if the buff persists between summonses). One cannot, in fact, eat it or directly feed it to one's pet. Also, one cannot apply it to other players' pets, nor does one need to target one's own pet to make it work. It has no effect on pet happiness.
The confusion is understandable: it stacks in lots of 20, it is created by cooking (strange spores), right-clicking it invokes the "munch munch" sound effect ... heck, it's even called a "Snack"! I'm guessing that the scroll-like (versus petfood-like) functionality is because otherwise players would be complaining that none of the other buff foods have the desired effect on their pets.
I plopped my Sporeling Snacks onto the same button I use for all my scroll and potion buffs. Left-clicking it on Autobar works as it always has: it buffs my pet.
Just checked "right click targets pet" on r50013: a right-click on a food in Autobar requires a follow-up left-click on the food in Autobar to properly feed the pet. I have bandages set to "right click targets pet" as well; a single right-click on the bandage in Autobar does exactly what I expected, i.e., immediately channels bandaging on the pet.
Toadkiller, I was on your google code page today and noticed you use UltraEdit32 as your lua editor, looked at your wordfile and thought you may want to take a look at mine, attaching it here.

I have been having problems with the right click to feed pet as well, even using regular old normal stuff that I had used previously.
I have to run a few errands but when I get back i'll uncomment those debug statements and see if I can help.

Debug code I am getting for my pet food button. Hope this helps
