The SVN version is being updated regularly but the more stable versions go up on curse as betas from what I've found. I would advise against updating autobar using SVN unless you like being annoyed by some semi-broken functions.
I'm currently using rev14044 And still getting this error. Might it be because I'm playing on European servers? (Sorry if this sounds silly, but I truly have no clue)...
I checked the Curse version, and its got a lot more externals than the SVN version. I think its accurate that its not being regularly updated in the SVN by the author. I went ahead and got it from Curse instead of SVN.
OK then, I have been struggling trying to get the toc working and missed this entire thread.
I am an svn noob and still trying to make RapidSVN let me add the externals properly. Right now it seems to have a hard limit on text entry for the property I need to edit so I can not add everything. I hacked it to just check out all the Ace2 libs. Grotesque I know, but now I have enough chars available to list everything. The latest version actually zips up into a working if somewhat plump version (Comm Hook Locale 2.0 & 2.2 as well as ModuleCore are unused so far).
Now to find uses for the unused libraries ;-p
I just need a few more lucky edits to the toc so it will show up on the Autobar wiki page. If anyone knows where I can see an error log for this that would be most excellent.
Besides the externals screwup the svn checkins should be just as stable as the curse ones since I don't generally do works in progress. (I use perforce for version control at home so things generally get posted when they are in good working order). Pretty much a release version will have very few bugs, and my betas may have some bugs / not necessarily preserve old settings.
I just updated to the new version last night...tried the beta on curse, the release on curse and the svn.
With older versions I had no issues adding custom items to a button...for instance things like the halloween candy.
With all of the current versions I can't seem to figure out anyway to do this. Has this functionality been removed? Or! Am I a noob who just can't find it?
Sounds like you are used to the icky manual way it used to be done. I removed that and replaced it with a simple drag & drop operation from your bags. I should probably add some text or maybe a tooltip for empty items in a slot as this functionality is clearly not obvious / readily discoverable.
I noticed the lack of bobbing apples and other candies last night so ill be adding them & the rest of the treats soon.
Using the current version from Curse, I'm getting some... strange behaviour. From a fresh install I open the config frame and play around. Initially everything works as expected until I edit any of the layouts using the drag/drop interface. As soon as I do that, any other changes (icon size, layout, positioning) stop working and further changes have no effect whatsoever.
Once that happens, nothing will make the config frame start working again except deleting the lua file and starting fresh.
Beta version on Curse I can't get to work at all, it throws loads of Ace errors and doesn't load the Autobar interface at all. Don't have the errors to hand, but I'll post them later.
The positioning is a bit erratic. I'm using the centralized positioning (up arrow), it works good when setting it and during gaming but usually on a relog it will move the entire bar so the left edge of the bar is where the bar was centralized earlier. Also once the bar has jumped to the bottom left corner of the screen after a restart.
Seems like it still has some residual effect of the old left corner based positioning. Usually entering the options screen and clicking the hide drag handle button (to make it visible) will make it jump back to the correct position.
Somebody finally deleted the bogus Autobar zip. Thanks! With everyone getting the AutoBar zip things should improve a lot.
Ok it seems like in my svn noobishness I did a get on a file to see what rabbit had changed & wiped out my local edits. They have been restored now and the issues with display settings not doing anything should be gone. (Its actually changing settings, but not for the apparently selected profile).
I think the positioning of the bar on relog issue may be related to this same problem. I can not reproduce the error at any rate so if you still get it with 1.12.07.02 let me know + some detailed steps.
"Beta version on Curse I can't get to work at all"
I removed it to avoid confusion. Use the release version.
In the begin when I tried to download stuff from svn I also used rapidsvn. Now I use tortoisesvn wich is much easier to work with because you can operate from the windows explorer.

I'm still getting it with 1.12.07.02. Really can't say how to reproduce it since I'm getting it no matter what by using any of the centered bar options, I've set both character and shared settings to the same positioning. Still on every relog the bar jumps so that the left side is at the ceneter I've set. Then by simply typing /atb it jumps to its' correct position.
I just tried to check it out and the path looks wrong for Dewdrop.

that was indeed my problem ...thanks for the drag and drop! :D

If you make a blank char on some random server & load up only the Autobar mod, does it still happen?
