none: atm I don't have anythink like this planned. I will reconsider it when I implemented all of my planned features.
Naloch:
jump to bottom = <Shift>Scrolldown
scroll by X = '/vchat scrollspeed <lines>'
I think I will add clickable URLs when I'm done with my planned features.
funkydude: Do you use the latest version? I know there was an issue like that with a previous version but I didn't put it up anywhere. Tried wiping your SVs?
Evil Elvis: Afaik flashing chat tabs aren't in the default UI, so another mod is causing them.
Could you add an option to toggle the arrow keys jumping to old things you wrote when the chat imput box is open off? :P Kinda hard to explain what I mean but, I like to move around with the arrow keys when im typing sometimes.

my bad i deleted the wrong folder when i was updating last time
updated, deleted SV's, did the trick, thanks ;-)
Dssurge: Do you use the latest version of vChat? If you don't set the option "editbox placement" to "top" the editbox shouldn't be touched by vChat. Atasel asked for the same and I implemented it with my last commit.
Love the new editbox placement option.. I have nightmares of confab flaking out on me, and have avoided it like the plague since. Would it be easy to add an option to remove the editbox texture altogether (a la idChat2 (now Prat) EditBox module).
I'll add some more options for the editbox, but I'm not quite sure what I'll do with it exactly.
I'm thinking about stuff like texture settings and maybe even making the editbox movable.
nice addon, the only thing i miss is non-fadeble-sticky-chat-tab.
i've been looking for something to do that =)
another request:
i would like to see vChat have an option to remove all the tags, changing them from [name] to <name> just doesn't work for me.
ie: [11:30PM][Raid][Iorri]:[Widow's Embrace]30 min bid now.
to 11:30PM R. Iorri:Widow's Embrace30 min bid now.
Could I request a "retell" command as well? Basically, after whispering someone you could do "/retell <nick>" and it would whisper the previous message to <nick>. This would be useful if you whispered the wrong person, or if you want to whisper the same message to multiple people. Actually, maybe you could even have "/retell <nick>,<nick>,<nick>"? Anyway, nice work, cheers!
There is an ingame keybinding in the default UI that lets you do that. It's shift+r.
That's not what he asked, he wants to be able to send the whole message to another person (or group of people.) Not just reply to the person who last sent him a tell.
That is indeed what I was asking for.
eg:
/t Dooga Hello there! lovely weather we're having today!
To Dooga: Hello there! lovely weather we're having today!
/retell Lanacan
To Lanacan: Hello there! lovely weather we're having today!
I then thought that the /retell command might perhaps be useful if extended to allow multiple nicknames instead of just one.
eg:
/t Dooga Hello there! lovely weather we're having today!
To Dooga: Hello there! lovely weather we're having today!
/retell Lanacan,Tom,Dick,Harry
To Lanacan: Hello there! lovely weather we're having today!
To Tom: Hello there! lovely weather we're having today!
To Dick: Hello there! lovely weather we're having today!
To Harry: Hello there! lovely weather we're having today!
Thanks for the great mod. I was wondering about a few things if anyone can provide some info.
timestamps - is there an option to show standard time as opposed to military time? I didn't see an option in the timestamp command list and I didn't notice any of the posts here mention it. I know it's lazy of me but I prefer 5:00 to 17:00. =o It also seems to use the computer time as opposed to the server time (which for me is different) so it might be nice if that could be changed (not sure how)..though not a big deal really.
sticky chat - I was also wondering what the sticky chat is about. I am not sure what that option is for or does even though it defaults to on.
shift + scroll - This doesn't seem to work for me to scroll to the bottom/top of the chat window. Any clue why that wouldn't work?
You can customzie your timestamps. There's an ingame help about the patterns to use. "[h:m]" will show your [05:00] even if it's 17:00 -_-;;
Guild, party and raid chat are sticky by default, which means if you just sent a a message to your party and then press enter, your editbox will look like this: "Party: |". vChat allows you to enable this behavior for officer, channel and whisper chat, too.
<Shift>Scrollup won't scroll to the top. Only <Shift>Scrolldown is supported.
I'd really like to see some kind of interface for controlling channel colors & channel #'s globally (ie, setting custom channel "Awoo" to be /3 for all characters, or just for characters i have selected to join that channel)
Raid worked [R]
Raid Warning worked [RW]
Raid Leader worked [RL]
Party worked [P]
Guild worked [G]
Though i would like to see these aswell;
[1] <-- Channel 1
[2] <-- Channel 2
[3] <-- Channel 3
[4] <-- Channel 4
[BG] <-- Battleground Channel
[Y] <-- Yell
[<nick>] <-- Say (hidden channel, just nicks)
[W] <-- Whisper
Im sure there is some more ive forgot, but as i said, forgot... :)
I will start using this instead of Cleanchat as long youve fixed the above channels.
Maybe a toogle for each channel to be filtered? :)
Edit: Oh, and also remove space between Channel Prefix' and Player name! (Ex: [G][Name] instead of:
[G] [Name] )

I really like this addon but whenever i log on i get the error
Interface\AddOns\vChat\Core.lua:620:attempt to call field 'insert' (a nil value)
Any ideas on how to fix that?
-Fenni-
andreasg: added to my todo list.
Fenni: I'll look into this.
I'm thinking about stuff like texture settings and maybe even making the editbox movable.
I'll update now and see how it works, but my post was made after you're original responce and it still didn't work, that's why I made the post ;)

Just one problem, when i right click on the tab, and hoover to channels i get the next error:
Interface/frameXML/FloatingChatFrame.lua:476:attempt to index local 'color' (a nil value)
I believe i had the same error with idchat2...not sure.
OK...found the solution...Squishy was the problem.
cheers :)

Btw. [BG] and [BGL] are already supported.
