Been playing around with these 2 apparently great addons, but I simply can't get them to work for the life of me.
When I first install them, I get all of the folders with Battlegroup details out in the addons root. Then I've read through a few threads, that said I had to make sure my desired battlegroup is activated in the addons on the character screen, which it is. But when I log in, Tattle tells me that there is no data and that I should run the bat file in the Tattle folder. I do so, and it deletes all of the folder in the addons root and replaces it with nothing.
I then reinstalled it all and tried to run the bat in the gladiator folder, but it says there is no new data.
What am I doing wrong? I really want those talent and ratings.
yep it's there associated with the right battlegroup.. tbh, your prolly just looking at teh wrong ppl if ur not getting anything on the tooltips; try opening up the .lua file for your battlegroup (Look in the addon list at the char screen it should tell you what one is yours) and do a search for known pvp'ers / arenea goers
I'm not sure this is the correct place to ask for this, but I didn't find a Gladiator or Tattle official thread. So, here it goes.
I run WoW on Linux, and use the provided "tattlelod.sh" script to disembed all the Gladiator_* files. However, it seems the script is a little out of date, for I get this error message when running it, as well having the "Gladiator_EU24" folder still intact inside Tattle's folder thus having to move it by hand:
mv: impossible to do stat in 'Gladiator_US14': File or directory doesn't exist
By the way: I noticed that Tattle.TOC still calls the individual library LUAs directly. It would be better for WAU users (not my case) if it instead called "embeds.xml". What do you think?
yes the .sh file is out of date as there are only 13 battlegroups in the US, and they added another to the EU realms.
Tattle is currently owned by Nymbia and he has not touched tattle in quite some time... i wish he would; there are some protocols about other peoples addons on the svn that are loosely enforced.. and touching .sh .bat files is restricted.
