I love this addon, especially since you can add custom textures now, I think this feature should really be promoted more. I also have a suggestion: could you make it so panels can change, mainly hide or show, based on certain conditions? I'm trying to add some texture to my agUF's through eePanels, and I'd like to have the panel for the specific texture not show when I don't have a target, and show when I do. Maybe have them hide or show with modifiers like Ctrl and Shift too, like if you have a panel behind an action bar that only shows when you hit the corresponding key.
Here's what I've come up with so far:
They probably look a bit familiar if you've seen Bouvi's UI's.
Edit: Oh and it would be really cool if you could anchor panels to frames.
Geez I need to read docs better lol - I'm not sure I even knew eePanels would do custom textures!
When it was first released, all you could do was create the panels, change the background and gradient color, but now you can add a "Background" texture, and set the background color's alpha to zero...and hide the border, and you have a texture like in my screenie above.

I've also tried just running eepanels alone with no other addons and I still get the error upon logout and login.
I did a clean install of all my addons today and cleared my WTF folder as well. I'm using the version r23321.

exactly the same error
eePanels-1.0\core.lua:867: attempt to call method 'SetAllPoints' (a nil value)
I get the error too. It is the same error i got with the BC beta client as posted before.
Seems like Blizzard changed something in the function SetAllPoints().
I just installed this 1 week ago. I am having ZERO issues with it. There arent any errors and everything saves. I did wipe my variables folder. Maybe its not the addon? Maybe it is? Maybe I am lucky? Anyways, I love the addon. I'll try custom textures next, (if I can figure it out) :P .
I honestly hope your eePanels keep on truckin' Nakawe :D
I've been reading about folks having issues the last couple days but mine continued to work just fine ... until one time I just logged in and it didn't lol. All panels were in place as usual, I logged off for the night, got up the next morning, logged in and all my panels were gone, poof. I can recreate them of course, but now they do not persist when I log in/out (or do a '/console reloadui').
The weirdest thing to me is that I rolled back to a version (both of the "Interface/AddOns/eePanels" folder and the "WTF/Account/<me>/SavedVariables/eePanels.lua") from the previous day, and then a version from 2 weeks ago (I back up all my WoW folders almost every day ;P), but the panels just will not stay.
To me this is like black magic, and in fact if it were posted by someone else I would secretly think to myself "he doesn't know what he's talking about, obviously that can't be the case". And yet it is.
Some folks on the main WoW forums have reported a possible conflict with Bongos, but disabling Bongos hasn't made any difference.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a resolution - Skinner is great for what it does, but it doesn't allow the finesse of eePanels.

Yes I understand, BUT, it may be something all you guys-N-gals have in common? I dont use bongos. Maybe its another addon? I am sure there has to be a coomon demominator in there somewhere. Maybe it is eepanels. If so I do feel lucky and pray my luck holds out. I love the things.
I've deleted the eePanels .lua & .lua.bak in /WTF/, I've deleted also the eePanels Folder and loaded (again) r23221.
But when I reload or relogg, the error is still here.
"eePanels-1.0\core.lua:867: attempt to call method 'SetAllPoints' (a nil value)"
I've been having the same problem as a lot of people here.
Installed eePanels(r23221) from scratch yesterday, and went about configuring it for one character. Logging out and logging back in again caused the panels to disappear, and the following errors to occur:
Error: attempt to call method 'SetAllPoints' (a nil value)
File: Interface\AddOns\eePanels\core.lua
Line: 867
Count: 1
--------------------------------------------------
Error: attempt to call method 'Hide' (a nil value)
File: Interface\AddOns\eePanels\core.lua
Line: 834
To test it, I wiped my Interface and WTF folders completely, so I was only running with eePanels on a basic configuration. No other addons at all. Configuring it from the minimap button, the errors were exactly the same - occurring on load, when trying to unlock/reset and so forth. A relog will bring the errors right back.
One way to get out of it is select a different profile, which clears the problem up temporarily. However, it will just return on relog. It's not a solution, but hopefully it may help understand what's going wrong.
When the error does occur, the list of created panels is blank. If you create a new panel, the existing list reappears, but trying to modify/remove any just throws more errors up.
Hoping this can be sorted quickly, as DArt isn't anywhere near as good. ;)

(Sorry 4 my English, I'm form Switzerland)
IF i delete the wtf ( eepanels ) i dont get any error whatsoever but when i start making the panels and logout , i'll get the error ( and i dont do anything big just 5 panels to go over the 2 dialog boxes and 3 over my ecastingbar )
but well if i do just load eepanels i get the same errors ( I'm using the last version of eepanels )
eePanels is a great mod, thanks for the good work.
I'd just like to add i had no eePanels issues either, than i installed WOW on a new machine, fresh install of everything including mods and got the same error as above.
I deleted the ENTIRE WTF directory, and eePanels worked correctly after that. On that install, the other addons were Trinity, CTMod, XLoot, SCT, SCTD.

but one small problem, since the 2.0.3 patch the panels disappear and even if you try removing them they don't always get removed from the panel list.
Hope it can be sorted and thanks for the great work.

Disregard that it was for a losing cause ;-}
When i updated i guess it messed alot of stuff up, its been fine ever since i did that, normal behavior when trying to configure it.
But panels still vanish when you log out and in again.
