REQUEST: CBRipoff doesn't currently handle the flight timer, as whenever I'm in flight, I get a default Blizzard progressbar. Would it be posible to add such functionality to CBRipoff?
I hope this request doesn't generate as much backlash as my last one (that started this thread).
To Note: I'm using FlightMap and Cartographer. I'm not sure what generates the flight timer specifically.
Solution: use inflight...

Any chance at a Global cooldown bar? Would be like a normal cast bar, but would fire when you cast an instant or otherwise invoke the GCD.
Try searcing the forums for IceAge, it will need a TOC update, though.
(it's not in the SVN >.<)
Also:
It would be nice if while the bars were unlocked, they would all be visable, would make setting the mod up much easier =)
what we really need.... a modular bar interface. (think hostel + ocb + mcastbars + ocd, but modular)
castbar
enemy castbar
partycastbar
target/tot castbar
hot tracking
dot tracking
enemy buff tracking
cc watch bar (poly/shackle/stuns/disorients)
short term buff bar (self, like SnD)
cooldown bar
enemy cooldown bar
diminishing returns bar
All should be movable, sortable, resizable (a la ocd). also if you could set it up to easily sort things into "groups" similar to how sorrens timers do it, it'd help
currently many mods do many things... but none are modular, most overlap, can't be tweaked that little bit needed, and it's causing us all problems :P ps, if i missed one, yell at me, i'm just going off the top of my head.
The thought of this addon has passed through my head many times. It might just become a reality one of these days. However it scares the crap out of me. It will need a good design laid down before any coding begins.
I don't really like all the "fluff" associated with Antagonist either.
I'd rather have a standalone enemy casting bar ^^. Just something simple that shows what my target is casting. No need for overkill like Antagonist.
What fluff? I hope you know that you can turn off everything except your target's casting bar in Ant.
I'm not sure what has changed exactly, but since I updated my addons yesterday the casting bar isn't showing smooth animation as I cast. The 'glow' that moves across the bar when I start a spell cast appears to be smooth and exactly what I expect, but the color/texture of the bar as it fills up or empties (depending on if I'm channeling or casting) is very choppy, almost laggy looking.
My framerate is fine, and I don't notice any lag other than the appearance of this bar. I noticed it happening around 1am this morning and wasn't able to only run CBRipoff to check for possible addon conflicts, but I am not receiving any errors. I tried removing CBRipoff and deleting all of the saved variables, reinstalling it and got the same result.
I might be able to find out more with some testing after work, but I'm curious to know if anyone else is having an issue like this.

This is something a few people is experiencing with ag_UnitFrames cast bars as well. I guess this is not an addon problem then, but something related to your setup of addons/software/hardware.

Interesting.
I started thinking about it, and I believe this has happened in the past when I was using oCB but it cleared up after a day or two. I'll play around with it, thanks for the response Andreasg.
something that i haven't noticed before (but may very well have been happening) is that if a spell or action is inturrupted my cast bar continues to progress. i'm fairly certain that when a spell/action got cancelled/inturrupted that the casting bar has also gone away in the past.

I have noticed this as the latest revision and the past couple of days. It is more than liveable but I wanted to see if we could help each other see what we may have in common.
I'm glad that someone else is seeing this so hopefully we can find out what's going on :)
It's somewhat of a burden for me, playing a holy priest, because it's hard to tell at a glance exactly when my spell will hit. If I'm able to find anything out this afternoon I'll make sure to post it.

I've been having the same problem too, but it happens for me no matter what casting bar mod is running.
my casting bar also jerks a bit. the one built into IceHUD doesn't do it though. I prefer the horizontal bar but I can survive with what I've got until someone figures it out :\
When I used to use eCastingBar, I don't remember it ever continuing for more than a fraction of a second after a spell got interrupted or I canceled it. With CBRipoff, it always continues through (at least until I start to cast something else, or the casting time ends).
I want to make a request. When you are attacked while casting, time that you loose appear on top of the castbar. PLEASE make is configurable, i.e. possibility to make that loosened time appear below castabr. Thnx alot!
No this mod only has a Casting Bar and Mirror, if you want enemy Casting bar check out Antagonist.
That's too bad. I read this entire thread and I all I saw were a bunch of responses of--why would you want that? As-if the people asking were silly for wanting 1 casting bar addon for all the casting bars they want to see.
Question: "why are people so obsessed with getting an enemy cast bar into a casting bar mod? seriously?"
Answer: Because I play two classes (warrior and rogue) that are both responsible for INTERRUPTING spell casting when the mob/player is casting something nasty. I use eCasting Bar to put a nice big casting bar in the middle of my screen to alert me to the spell casting and make it easy to tell what it is they are casting.
I might only have 3 seconds to decide whether to INTERRUPT a spell and I need to make sure I am interrupting the heal or polymorph and not something less important.
Besides interrupting, this is also incredibly helpful for melee classes when a mob has an AOE effect that will go off (triggered by health at a certain % or something) and I need to run.
Can I use the one I can attach to the Target frame? Sure. I actually use aguf to put those on party members and my focus frame. But I that's just a nice to have feature.
Also along these lines-- Why it unreasonable to expect a casting bar mod to work for all of the available unit IDs? Blizzard made it pretty simple to access the info in 2.0, so why is that such a huge ask?
An addon like Antagonist pre-2.0 had to do a lot of playing around with different events to get the information and that's not the case anymore. Personally, I'm trying to Ace2 my whole UI and with a few exceptions, I am almost there. Unfortunately, eCasting Bar is one of the addons that I haven't been able to replace yet.

Thanks for this great rip! Can you make it to support Dhask's Flightmap?
This would be great! :)
Thx!

The timer bar showing Wotf duration is the greatest thing since sliced bread

Using r26541, which is the latest version presently.
