i'm not sure i understand, couldn't you just disable the option to hide the blizzard frames, that way you get the original bag/bank frames back?
Yeah, but there is a little bug - if you choose to not hide the blizzard frame and went to a merchant, both inventories (blizz and AI) of the merchant are opened (+ yours, of course), if you have selected to auto-open on Merchants. If you close the blizzard one, the AI one is closed also.
imo would it be nice after all to have an "override" function to open the blizzard bags like shift+rightclick on the backpack without always change the options :)

First of all, after trying many different bag mods, I was very glad to find this one AND it actually works! Good job!
I love the mod and have no problems, but I would like to make a couple of convience changes. I understand why some would want the issues listed below as is, so I am not requesting a change to the mod, just help on how to adjust it to my liking.
*DISCLAIMER: I am only a hack at LUA and have no real experience*
Issue #1:
I don't like the recipes being sorted to the professions that they are used in. I like having one catagory (bar) for recipes. So a peek into the LUA and I found the spot where you break them apart, and I decided to undo the seperation. Here's what I did and the results: Solution A: Remove (delete) all code seperating the recipes into profession catagories, leaving only if Recipe then Recipe_Catagory (paraphrased, I'm at work and can't quote the lua right now). Result: Error on load, Line 260: unexpected symbol. Solution B: Comment out the seperation code instead of deleting it. Result: Error on load, Line 260: unexpected symbol.
What I don't understand, is why line 260 gives the error. I am using Ultra Edit 32 to make the changes and from what I can tell, the lines I am changing are no where near line 260. Why is this error produced and how can I accomplish what I intend here?
Issue #2:
When the when the frame needs to grow or shrink, the right and bottom edges move. I would like the top and left edges to move, effectively anchoring the bottom-right corner. Solution A: Well, I looked at the xml file. I understand enough to see the frames being built, but not enough to know what to change to make this happen. Result: I became cross-eyed and started muttering to myself.
If anyone can help me with these issues, I would greatly appreciate it, since these are the only flaws I see with this (I don't count bag/bank seperation, which Ark says he's working on).
1. I seem to be getting the same error regarding SetHyperlink that Iceroth reported above me. If I mouse over a slot in my bank while it's in offline mode, there's always 1 (sometimes 2) items that pop up an error dialog that says:
Usage: GameTooltip:SetHyperlink(link)

I noticed that the exact item that causes this error seems to change between logouts/logins, it doesn't seem to be limited to a particular item name or slot.
Please note that while AI can show the Bank and Bags for your alts, it's only a visual display, it highly likely won't be progressing into that area as there are already existing mods out there that do a much better job at managing alt inventories.
Is there any hack I can use to at least add the ability to shift-click item links into my chat from the offline bags? Or, the actual name of one of the other existing mods? ArkInventory is the cat's pajamas, and if I can avoid worrying about yet another addon, I'd be even happier with it. :)
This is a great addon and i really like it. But it has one major issue for me. When i swap items from my bags to my bank i get a delay for roughly 6 seconds before the item end up in the bag, also when equipping stuff etc i get a delay, although not as big as when swapping items to my bank. If i equip stuff without the bags shown there is no delay. No other bag addon i have had does this so i would very much like to see a fix. I think it might be due to that the bag sorts as soon as i change somethign and put it into the right category in the bag and this causes a delay.. sure i got a crap comp but as no other addon does this it should be possible to fix i guess. :P
One small request. Any chance of providing an option for this _not_ to replace the default character bags/bank bag display? Have the regular bags open as normal if the option is selected, but still have it save the character's bags & bank info, as well as offline characters as it currently does?

Yes, this works. But not very well at all. Check "Blizzard" from the Ark bags option list (via the upper left button--this really need mouse-over help for its buttons), then open the bank. The bank bags are still Ark. Go into the Ark bank bag option frame, checkmark "Blizzard" then close the bank. Reopen your bags and for some reason they are still Ark, despite the Blizzard option being checkedmarked. Uncheck the option and the Blizzard bags are back. Disabled this shortly thereafter ;). For reference, I had the auto-bag opening options disabled; am using the "Bags and Merchants" mod to do that (from the SVN).
I brought it up because there is no standard Ace2 command line or DeuceCommander option for it, thus I did not expect that option to be there. Nor for many of Ark's other options; only thing you can do via commands is reset things to defaults.
What happens once the Blizzard frame option works properly (after its fixed) and you are unable to bring up the Ark frames on your current character? Command options that reflect its menu options are needed. BTW, after resetting all three of the things the command line option can reset, it doesn't revert the behavior back to the Ark frame if you have "Blizzard" checked (or unchecked, see above). So resetting things isn't a substitute for having a proper command menu.
Anyway, look forward to giving this another go when its working properly.

I'm loving ArkInventory and have to say it's the best inventory addon I've used to date. One small problem I'm having is that sometimes, when assigning a category to an item, it "takes" other items with it.
For example: in my rogue alt's bank, I have gear that's waiting for him to level into. I move Ubrafen Bracers of Nature Resistance to a custom category called "Resists". It moves to the bar as it should... but so do Blue Topaz Ring of the Bandit, Clefthoof Bracers of the Bandit, Battle Star of Stamina, and Haal'eshi Hat of Fire Protection. However, other non-bound items such as Nexus-Claw, Void-talon, and Thick Draenic Pants do not move. If I move, say, the Blue Topaz Ring of the Bandit and move them back to "Equipment (Not Soulbound)" category, again, all the items move together. After playing with it some more, it seems to be only occurring with BOE items that have randomly generated stats - items with fixed stats don't seem to be having this issue.
I have duplicated this on my warlock alt as well. Non-soulbound BOEs with randomly generated stats all move together, while stuff like the Netherweave Boots and Netherweave Robe (not soulbound) are able to move on their own.
Sorry if this has been reported, I haven't read every reply to this thread. I'm using r25921 currently.

Yeah, my wife (who I've converted to using AI) has also been able to duplicate it exactly as I described. It's a minor annoyance though, at least for me.
i've lost SVN access for some reason, i can post here in the forums but not upload. theres a 1.31 beta 2 version on curse and wowinterface you might want to try - but please backup your saved variables before you install it and keep a copy of the version you installed as well so you can downgrade if it doesnt work for you.
One small problem I'm having is that sometimes, when assigning a category to an item, it "takes" other items with it.
i thought i had fixed this (in the betas), and it is due to the UniqueID part of the ItemLink being a negative number - normally outland items (which means it gets id'd as 0) so they were all essentially the same item when the code looked at them.
best bet is to look at the debug info (when in edit mode) the ID should be three numbers separated by : and this is what identifies each item as unique in AI code so if two items have the same ID they'll be moved to the same place.
Second, I need an option to prevent AI from being my standard inventory.
added in latest 1.31 beta, if the blizzard frames are unhidden then you can only get AI to come up via the keybindings (i'd suggest people bind Shift+F12 to AI Bags if they want to do this that way they can bring AI up easily)

AI doesnt track items counts, just slot type counts, so a 20 slot quiver would show as xx/20 (xx empty slots out of 20 total)
Is it just me or is it a common issue, that with a larger number of divisions, so to say 10 different running categories. The memory consumption get's completelx out of hand?
I was unable to move items to my bank, because my memory consumption went rockting. And by that i mean from around 0.1-0.6 kb/s to around 254 kb/s until GC Collection Limit is hit.
This I can reproduce over and over.
Not just that the memory went through the roof, as a sideeffect the entire game's performance went down. As I said above i was unable to move items to my bank, because it almost hung up.
With that issue around AI is kinda out of the race until fixed.
No other inventory- AddOn was running. and moving to bank with Bagnon does produce more memory but at reasonable amounts.
Furthermore: repeatedly opening and closing the inventory also does favor AddOn Memory Consumption.
I hope I'm not the only one with that. And I furthermore hope there is a solution to that, because AI is still one hell of an Inventory!
