I want to fully replace these two addons with ItemSync: GFW_Linkerator and EQCompare. If it's not possible or reasonable to replace EQCompare, whatever. But as Linkerator goes, that saves enchant links like [Enchant Chest - Restore Mana Prime] and would be good if I want to buy the mats sometime if the character that I'm on doesn't have it, like a bank alt. ItemSync seems to have everything going on that Linkerator did, plus other features which are pretty cool that I want to keep from ItemSync.
I do have a question, though, in either case. In the ItemSync config menu it says "Display stats on mouseover (could cause lag)" or something like that. What is that referring to? I had taken it to mean if you mouseover an item link in chat, but I tried it with EQCompare disabled and it didn't work.
I didn't see another ItemSync thread, or else I would have posted this there.
I see no use to integrate EQCompare into ItemSync, since both do completely different functions, and can coexist perfectly.
About the saved Enchants, nice idea - although I'd want it only if the code for it would be minimal. ^_^
I believe the option you're thinking of is where ItemSync will scan for items when you mouse over a character in the world frame in addition to just grabbing items linked in chat. If you watch your counter as you mouse over people with this option enabled, you'll see it go up when they have an item equipped that you haven't seen before. This is why it may cause lag.
As for EQCompare, not sure how something like that fits within the scope of ItemSync....... ItemSync's only a database, not an interface modification tool. Stick with EQCompare or wait for 2.1 where you'll be able to hold shift(?) while mousing over an item to show the side-by-side comparisons.
What I was referring to is the option in EQCompare to mouseover an item linked in chat to see the stats and such without having to click it. I guess I assumed it was a more well-known option, and that option is what I thought ItemSync had.
