Logged intoday ran the updater, the only mod that updated was pitbull, and then it said a script error which couldn't read, but now when i log in all the mods i have that are wow ace don't work.. I tried reinstalling them all but no go... i am going to try and reinstallthem after deleting the directories...the error i get when i log into a character is "Invalid Key to next" and then no matter what i cant get any wow ace mods..the 3 other mods that i load (natur, bongos, trinket menu) all seem ok
anyone else have an error like that ?
tried to delete and reinstall all my mods in the directory same thing... maybe a config file was overwritte in the wtf folder ?
same thing has happened to me when I have tried to install Infinibar and Flexbar2 today. All of them just shut down and stop working till I turn one of them off.
I too had this problem, luckily I made a backup of my addons directory.
Anyway, I Ran the updater, none of my mods worked 'cept either buggrabber or bugsack, not sure which but one of em was reporting the fact that there were like a billion errors.
Seemed to be FuBar for me, a few things working.. Squeenix, BT3 etc. But ArkInventory only bag worked and not bank. Fubar also didn't work, disabled all fubar plugins bar Bugsack and got this error -
i think i've found a solution. (at least it worked for me)
It was a problem with AceEvent-2.0 in its last version, i downgraded every instance of this file in my addons to that of 17th April and everything worked fine again.
i downloaded http://files.wowace.com/Ace2/Ace2-r32597.zip then i copy'd and past'd the AceEvent file in each addon libs directory (yea it's not so fun and quite brute but it worked :p)
I hope most of you realize that the Ace2 libraries are currently being modified for 2.1.0 which is on PTR and due to be released soon, most of the problems people are having is due to these changes while the authors are working out the kinks. Since the SVN is an alpha/beta site you either have to live with the problems and always back up all addons before updating so you can roll back or wait till they get to a stable point.
Anyone have a more elegant solution to fix the mess the latest update has caused?
The problem does appear to be Ace Event file. I did basically what the previous posted stated on all of the addon folders that had been updated since 4/19.
your best best is using standalone libraries, the latest ace works fine, maybe you have an old version of the ace library in a rogue addon thats somehow clashing
i had the same problem this morning after the latest updates to my wowace addons.
i siwtched them all off and started switching them on one by one and found that QuestsFu always gives an error message but doesn;t break the addons, but BanzaiAlert completely breaks the whole interface, nothing works. Switched that off and it's good as new!
Hope this helps someone out there.

it's weird because i dont know if it was an add on that did it....might have been something that is written in the savedvariables
not sure
but its working now..

I would suggest not using the WowAce updater.
And of course i have no backup either :/
Haha...me too. I knew I would rue the day I didn't backup! Rue the day!!
