I have a pretty simple question, couldn't find it in my searchings, but in Prat1.0, you could disable the colon ( : ) when using chat. I can't seem to find this option again in Prat2.0. Also doing the /prat minimap toggle on command doesn't give me a minimap icon. I don't think I'm using any mods that are getting in the way...any answers?
Description: Module for Prat that makes it easy to copy URL"s in chat windows.
Is this an example of a useful thread post?
Heh. I put in the headers for many of the modules by copy-and-paste for the basic information and it looks like I didn't update the description information for the who.lua module no biggy and an easy correction.
I want to provids 3-4 built in profiles with Prat so that it can run "out of the box".
Any input is appreciated, if you want to you can also post your saved variables and/or screen shots
Right now I think there are 2 profiles that would be most useful:
#1: "old school" - this would have Prat mimic how the original idChat2 functioned
#2: "new hotness" - this would flip on new functionality that has been added since Prat started
Anything else people can figure out.
One of the things that I still need to do is go through the modules and finish making the options for each of them consistent.
Hello, I am curious if it is just me or not. When I configure PopupMessage to use SCT or the message box itself, I recive errors. This is the only feature I miss from ChatMod while using Prat. I deal a lot with Whisper and as such I use WIM to manage my whispers. I miss a lot of things in the chat channels such as Guild and alliance channels when my name is said.
If this has been fixed and I missed it I apologize, I searched the forums and received some hits with Prat v.1.

I have made yet another fix to the timestamps module. Not being a user of it myself I didnt plan for it to be on every line of the chatframe - just on actual chat lines.
its now fully reverted to its old implmentation, and positioned before prat in the hook chain.
Re this: If you enable or disable the module it will be at the end of the hook chain until you reloadUI, and you will see double timestamps for things like channel leave/join messages. if i get complaints on this im going to make it force a reload UI every time - right now im leaving it as is.
Please update to r26102 and test the timestamps module as much as possible.
[24 23:15] <CIA-17> sylvanaar * r26102 Prat/ (Prat.lua modules/Timestamps.lua):
[24 23:15] <CIA-17> Prat: Fixed timestamps AGAIN. Its 100% not compatible with prat's design since
[24 23:15] <CIA-17> it is timestamping the chatframe not chat. So, i used the old style way of
[24 23:15] <CIA-17> fixing these things, i put the timestamps hook before Prat's. Also i added an
[24 23:15] <CIA-17> indicator to the main chatframe to show when prat has started up. The goal is to
[24 23:15] <CIA-17> add to the login spam and irritate as many people as i can
Apologies if I missed this somewhere in the thread, do you know why Prat isn't showing up in Deucecommander? I don't mind using the textbox to config Prat, but using the drop down menu from DC was a lot easier :)

Yes it doesnt show up in duece commander for the same reason it doesnt show up in Prat. It is a guiHidden group on our aceoptions table. DeuceCommander probably should handle that case.
EDIT: I modified Prat to work around the bug in DeuceCommander.

Please provide detailed information. Preferably on the google tracker. Dont assume we can see this problem - It works for me. Only bug i am aware of is double sct messages from one chat message.

Just get it all set to look like IDChat then save a copy of your saved variables.
Incidentally, idChat2 is now SimpleChatMods on the SVN and it works on the current WoW version.

Not sure if this is a Prat thing or just Blizzard, but whenever I log in I get "joined General1", now I have "General1" in another window, yet it still displays in the main window and I have to unlock the window then turn it off from the chat channels...

Have you tried /leave General1 ? Just turning the channel off in the chat window will still have you keep rejoining it every time you login unless you leave it. The other issue you're noticing where you turn it off in the chat window yet it still shows up next time you login might be a Blizzard issue (http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=71027742).

My mistake, it was a previous build, the add-on was disabled from when I was getting errors just after 2.0 was released. It is working great and just as you said double posts in SCT, thank you for all of your hard work. I was going to post the errors once I was home but there were none.
Ah so simple. Thank you very much.

channelnames module -> Show Colon
Set it to your liking
I don't suppose it helps that I can't see the minimap button. I've been doing everything through the textbox and it's really annoying.
Before i take offense. What exactly do you mean?
1) Run current version
2) type /prat TAB TAB ... (channames shows up) SPACE TAB TAB.....
You find that annoying?
I made a fix just now, hope it helps.

Now when somebody types in a channel there is
<lvl:name:channel>
Like:
<68:Revolty:GUILD> blahblah .....
How can i get rid of the GUILD?
I fond it.... Playernames -> showgroup
