a question regarding popupmssg module; have you redid the code? cause the popup doesnt show the timestamp anymore and displays 3 times in my sct message frame on every "popup",instead of just 1 time as with the original popupmessage. and im also looking for a way to increase the fade timer of the popup.
thanks a lot for keeping prat updated all the time, being appreciated.
Any chance of playernames module setting colors on playernames in CHAT_MSG_SYSTEM, i.e. "[x] has come online"? that's one thing teknicolor still does that I miss :(
hi. i´ve got a problem with the chat buttons. everytime i relog, the buttons in window 2 and 3 (i only have 3) are there again. in the options they are turned off.
Okay, is it just me or is Prat 2.0 overwriting ClearFont on the chat window fonts?, cos im back to being stuck with the crappy unreadable blizzard fonts in the chat window.
also it registers as being an "out of date" addon in the addons management window.

I miss external modules. :/ It's such a pain to turn off all those excess options. WTB: Prat Light - Hides the buttons, enables scrolling a few other, more popular features (think Chatbox).

Thanks for your complaint, i'll add it to the list. There were never external modules (except a long time ago). So im not sure what you miss.
You have profile support, use it. Its an Ace2 feature, no docs? Ask around.
Way i read this is you want me to remove modules, and maintain them as a second addon for no reason other than you being too lazy.

1. uncheck the font module in prat, otherwise yes it does overwrite clearfont
2. patch 2.0.3 is today which means all addons went "out of date" - simply go to your character selection screen, click Addons (lower left) and click the box LOAD OUT OF DATE ADDONS for the fix. or update the toc file manually til all your mods are updated :P
hope this helps!

ive got over 60 ace2 mods loaded. using the fubar plugins or disabling the parts of mods you dont want to use makes them not load. my ui mem is ~28mb even though i have tons of mods installed.
Do the modules for Prat cease to use memory when disabled? If this is the case, then everything I've said is pointless and I retract it. :P
They are resident in memory when disabled.
They use the memory that their code and data take up. Most modules have almost no code in them, and the data is comprised of the strings and looalized strings. A select few use a little more memory because they have tables to rememeber stuff (like PlayerNames)
You can delete the ones you dont want to load if you feel its worth the effort. I'm assuming you know enough to tell when memory usage is a meaningful metric.

Dissabeling the fontsize pluging fixed it, but for the out of date issue...
Did they do an "invisible" patchy? Cos i havent had a download yet, and patch day is tomorrow (or in ab out 3or5 h for content patch and 5or7h for normal maitnance) (I play on EU server)

If you use the fontsize plugin you need to set the font size using prat, not the chat frame menus.

Thank you for the information, Sylv. I do appreciate it. :) The only reason I am asking is because I'm having some problems with memory right now (mostly due to tainting, I think). Hopefully, 2.03 will eliminate some of it, but we'll see.
would it be possible to set up a BucketEvent and watch CHAT_MSG_CHANNEL_JOIN so that when someone logs in and joins multiple channels, one doesn't get spammed with 3 messages (XXX joined channel. XXX joined channel.)
I know we are able to completely block these messages, but that is a bit too extreme.

Yeah, its a great idea. If you want to try and code it using prat, prat's got a bunch of nice features to make development of chat mods easier.
Not sure what you'd do with the events when you had to display them since channel messages can be all colored differently, and different frames can have them turned on and off independantly

I'm not saying that Prat ever had external modules. But other add ons do. I could've been more clear, but I was in a hurry. Let me fix that:
"Is there any possibility of getting external modules? A lot of mods are moving to this method for memory concerns."
Thanks for the rhetoric.
You read it correctly for the most part. Unfortunately, I wrote it badly. :o I'm concerned with memory usage. That is all.
Drink less coffee, friend. There's no need to get excited. :P
Edit: I appreciate all the work that mod authors do and that obviously didn't come off my post. That I do apologize about.

It is Beta 1, you will lose settings in the upgrade process. Remember to turn stuff back on.
