Using AceLoot and quite happy with it, however I'm missing one thing from QuickLoot; "moveonce" that is: move once on opening lootframe, then stay, great when the lootframe lags a bit (which it often does for me).
Hmmm, I see your point. Thinking about it. Of course I can make it stuck the moment it opens, but still there would be a problem. You wouldn't be able to see the loot if the cursor was out of the screen at this time. I think it's indispendible to lock it at a fixed position before it opens. So what'd be the best solution in your opinion? A simple /al lock at the first time the LootFrame would open, so this position would be used until you lock it to another place or even change it to unlock?
I'll still could give control about the movement like I didi it with the Button in AH_Wipe. Just Shift-Rightclick to drag.
Gimme feedback if that would fit all of your (all that care) liking.

I don't think it'd be such a big problem that you might get the lootframe out of your screen, trying to remember how it was done in QuickLoot, and I don't think he did anything in particular to solve that. But then again I never had such a problem so maybe he did.. ;)
Anyways, what I'm missing is more of a "moveonce" for each loot, so it's not locked per se, since it only moves once to your cursor per opened lootframe. The problem I'm sometimes experiencing is that I only want, lets say, the "first" and the "third" item in the loot, it'd be real quick to just "click, down a bit, click, close". But when the lootframe moves at first to the second item, which I have to "move down from" and select the third upon which it yet again moves the "second" item to my cursor. All of this is a bit of a quirk and in combination with some jolly good lag it really delays my looting.
Probably didn't clarify a thing :P
I'll just have another go: I want the lootframe to move to my cursor once per opened lootframe, not to stay there forever or until I unlock it.
All in all I think I'm mostly annoyed with the moving about when I'm up to speed with my 13337 clickz0rz since I'd say it is faster than the UI 8)
Hehe I can see where you're coming from Ulti :P
I can't seem to get used to the 'hold your mouse still and click-to-loot'.
It's just a personal preference really, but if you're up to it Neriak, it'd be nice to see :P
Basically, it's the ability to have an open loot frame on your cursor when you click the corpse to loot, then being able to click the items in the loot frame without the frame moving to the cursor again. (until it's empty, or the frame is closed completely)
I thought I was simplifying the explanation, I think Ulti did a better job still though, lol!

I'll go with Ulti on this one. Don't think "out of screen" problem would be bothering. You can just move so the loot frame closes and do it again in the proper place of the screen after all... So I personally tend to think /lock option wouldn't be needed as you described it, Neriak.
PS and btw, I have no clue how you would get your cursor out of the screen anyways :D
Ok, I understood now, sorry .. people mentioned offscreen problems before ;)
Today I'm gonna test out some stuff, it shouldn't be too hard to get your wish for that feature added. Btw You can get the LootFrame offscreen when you've got lag too. It happens some times for me, yet. But since I made the frame movable I must concure that this isn't a major problem anymore.

Thank god...I asked for this on WoWUI and you kinda shot me down. Without this feature, IMO, all the addon does is make the window pop up again and again in an annoying/confusing manner :)
Sorry to interject here, the problem may have already been fixed, but just came across this thread while looking at something else. I was looking at quick loot files for an idea for how to code something I am trying to make for myself. The code for keeping the window on screen and the move once code looks quite small. It should be very easy to implement if that is something you wish to add.
I realised that the offscreen isn't much of a problem. The problem is it positions the loot frame under your mouse cursor, which can be very annoying under lag, because it will jump around. I'm dealing with another solution right now. It will be something that let you lock down the loot window on a custom position so that after looting one item it gonna reposition to the stored one. In theory this could work quite well, tonight I'll test it practically ;).
There was an option with Telo's Quickloot that made the loot box move to the cursor once without repositioning as you clicked on items in the lootbox. Is there any possibility of this feature being added to AceLoot? The main problem I have is when a mob drops multiple pages of items and multiple people are looting at once the lootbox can jump all over the screen making it difficult to loot what you're supposed to.
Anyhow, thanks for the great addons. You guys are doing a great service to those with slower machines chugging through all the poorly written code available at the common addon sites.
*polite cough* couldn't you just do it the way we're all asking for, like the modified quickloot that works quite well?
Does it ? I've never tested it tho. The problem is that you can't get the position of the LootButtons, therefore you always have to setpointer on the lootframe ..
i have been using aceloot on my rogue for long time now and love it to bits. makes pick pocketing a breeze.
today i upgraded my dab to version 3 and the bars are on the top of everyhing else.
i open my bags, bars on top. ah, bars on top. worst of all the bars are sat right on top of the aceloot window so i cant get the goodies.
any idea how i can sort this. why does dab cover everything? surely its better to be at bottom than top, so we can interact with other interface panels.
spent 5 hours sorting my hotbars out for all 18 or more characters then i notice this and it really jebbed me off.
wish there was a decent bar mod with a config window i could replace this with.
Well, there are 2 bar mods, one is bars, one will work for bars, but neither have a config, sorry. Visor or CardBars.
Visor - you can do anything you possibly want to with, but it will take time...
CardBars - Even with the chat command sonfig, it's really simple and would prolly take around 10 mins of your time. Typing sucks, but it's not that bad when you can drop a discord mod.
Sorry, I don't have a fix, except if you use Visor, you could set all the frames below the buttons to a higher strata, or set the bars to a lower strata...
Frame Strata.
didnt have a clue what it was and with no readme at all available for discord 3 except trying to plough through the worst laid out forums in history with the poorest excuse for a search engine i had only guess work to go on.
main bar default frame strata in dab3 is set to dialog. in other words it will sit on top of all other stuff as a dialog box would. dab can adjust this to suit. having set it to medium i can now access aceloot window as before.
i absolutely frigging hate addons with no readme. i now check folders upon download and no readme means bin.
not that i am on the right planet to understand anything that loz writes (which is usually quite aggressive and rude).
/rant off.
damn, aceloot is good. pickpocket ftw!!!

I'm sorry Bro, I've used an outdated link there - Fixed!
