Truth be told I'm thinking I'm going to have to go the popup menu approch when 2.0 comes out. I won't be able to choose the health pot to use for example anymore so I'll be stuck with useing one item from your backpack and hope you have enough for the entier fight, ie don't run out or instead of using an item when in combat show a popup of all the items you have (created before combat started) of the given item group. So for health pots when in combat a memu of some sort shows with all your health items, pots, rejuv pots, health stones etc and you pick the one to use. I could highlight the "recomended" one but you would have to choose the actual item.
Question. /xad textsize says "Set the cooldown text size, item count text size is 1/2 the cooldown text size"
Is there cooldown text and I'm just not seeing it? Or is that not implemented yet? On an earlier post someone mentioned just using the default blizzard cooldown texture so that addons like OmniCC would work with XAD.
Also, when using /xad textsize the number values show up without the black bordering until you /console reloadui.
Yes cooldown text should work. IE use a health pot and you should get a "2" over the health pot button for 2 min, Once it gets down to 59 sec you'll get a 59 and count down from there to 0. Note if you are using manastones or healthstone they don't display a cooldown text but instead just hide till thier cooldown expire thus allowing you to use health/mana pots.
And yes the text is till a bit buggy on looks. Hopefully when I redo it for wow 2.0 I can get that cleaned up.
XAD is coming along great Thirster :)
I suppose the only thing I'm really longing for is a few aesthetic options.
For instance, alot of people use the circled layout from Bartender2 (I do anyway), and lots use the dreamlayout too. Would it be possible to see these button designs integrated into XAD, or a few different border/button styles to pick from?
I tried to do it on my own, but I can't get the button overlay working...
Just so that XAD matches with the rest of our UI I suppose! Thanks =)

I would very much like to see something like this, sort of like the old popbar from way back in the day.
Sykotic, To be honest my button frame code is a bit messy. What I mean is the coding is good but I really don't fully understand how all the fame elements work very well thus the look of the buttons isn't the nicest in the world. I'm also a bit hesident to spend a lot of time figuring it out due to 2.0 coming and thinging looking like they are going to change prettly drasticly. So I wait till then and try to get a better handle on it them.
Jexx, I have a feeling we are going to see alot more popup menus with 2.0.

Ahh that's cool, completely understandable :) It's only a minor issue, it's not stopping me from enjoying XAD, that's for sure :)
does the periodic table ever get updated? last time i checked i couldn't get it to work with food from av
Yes I've made a few updates to PT myself adding some newer items etc. I don't go into AV much but AFAIK it should work fine with AV food. Perhaps you could give me an example AV food item you'f tried that didn't work and I'll see whats up with it.
i'm playing a mage.
and the way XAD handles mana / health potion isn't that nice (i think).
it display a mana pot even if my mana ruby is ready.
thats not the way it should be. of course i'm taking the ruby BEFORE the mana pot.
and of course i'm taking the warlock healthstone BEFORE the health pot.
change it?
edit:
if you change this XAD is nearly perfect for me. maybe u could implement on hover all cooldowns that are currently running. no extravagancy, just a plain tooltip:
whipper root tubber: 1min 29sec
mana citrine: 49sec
major mana potion: 34sec
demonic rune: 49sec (same CD as stones)
that would be "uber cool"! :D

Hmm, that's odd. I play a mage too, and the Mana gems definitely get used before the mana pots.
Same with the healthstone. Are you running the latest version found at www.wowace.com/files ?
I think a tooltip explaining the currently selected item would be great though (nice suggestion), as sometimes I lose track of the particular item showing in my bar, mainly when playing my hunter (food types, etc).
I'm kind of obsessed with cooking, so I always have a lot of food that gives +Stam and Spirit boosts. But I also have food which doesn't. I try to only eat the food which gave me buffs every 15 mins. and the plain old food all the other times. Is there code in XAD to read whether or not my well-fed buff is up and eat accordingly?
Jinglehopper, Sorry but no XAD simply takes the first item of the most apporopriat healing amount to use. So if you have 5 items that restor 800 health, 2 that restore 1200 and you are down 700 hp XAD will use the firt item in your bags that restores 800 health. If you want XAD to eat the non stat items first them move then to be in front of the stat buff items.
Not sure if this is a bug or not, but playing on my Warlock XAD wasn't updating the health potion slot when my Healthstone came off a timer. The very first time I log in and make a healthstone, it displays itself in the health pot slot, but anytime after that when I use it and remake a new one it always just displays a health potion, I never used a health potion though to see if it was actually going to use the healthstone or health pot however.
I also play a warlock and it's been working for me but I'll test it again.
Ok tested again and aparantly a 120sec delay is too close to the truth and the cooldown hasn't expired yet so I upped it to 121 and that appears to have solved the problem. Will place the fix in SVN in a min.

maybe I should add I'm a total retard when it comes to anything about coding - so even if this error message is a 100% obvious hint how to fix it myself, I wouldn't see that.
z0rn, I'll check into the mana stones. Perhaps a spell is missing from SB 2.1
Greywind, Line 39 is where I get the instance of babble spell 2.1. Are you using embeded libs or the standalone libs? Babble spell burries the 2.1 libs down one level in the zip file so if you are using the standalone libs you'll need to move BabbleLib-2.1 up one level from inside BabbleLib. It already has the .toc and everything it's just one level too low for wow to find it.
EDIT:
z0rn, just checked BS and it has the spells so that's not it. Can you walk though step by step what you are doing to repeat this and make sure to check your bags for any manastones as you go. I don't see what exacly is going wrong yet.
